Saif Ali Khan suffered multiple wounds after a robbery attack took place at his home. Kareena Kapoor Khan's team has given an update on the actress and kids, Taimur And Jeh Ali Khan.
Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan's Bandra residence faced a robbery attack at 2 am on January 16, 2024. The actor suffered multiple wounds around his neck and arm, one closer to his spine, during an altercation with the robber. Now, Kareena Kapoor Khan's team has released a statement regarding the condition of Bebo and kids- Taimur and Jeh Ali Khan.
The statement, which was released by Kareena's team, revealed that the family was shocked by the turn of events and that Kareena and her two kids were doing fine. The team also expressed gratitude to the fans who showed their concern and support, requesting privacy as the investigation was being carried out. Details related to the exact situation and security measures at Saif's home were not shared. Kareena's team stated:
"There was an attempted burglary in Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan's residence last night. Saif had an injury on his arm for which he is in hospital, undergoing a procedure. The rest of the family is doing fine."
A report by Filmfare claimed that the unfortunate robbery attack at Saif's home had started from his kids, Taimur and Jeh's room. The report also stated that the building security watchman had not seen an unidentified intruder entering the residential area. A report by News 18 also claimed that Kareena had confirmed the robbery attack and that Saif was undergoing treatment at Lilavati Hospital, Mumbai, while 8-year-old Taimur and 4-year-old Jeh were safe.
As per a new report by Lokmat, Saif heard her screaming when Jeh's caretaker had seen the thief and rushed to Jeh's room. The actor got injured during the scuffle.
A report by the same publication revealed that Mumbai Police confirmed that when Saif was attacked, Kareena, Taimur and Jeh were in the house. Saif's team had confirmed and said that there was an attempted burglary at his home and that he is currently in hospital undergoing surgery. A part of the statement also read:
"We request the media and fans to be patient. It is a police matter. We will keep you updated on the situation."
Saif was reportedly stabbed six times by the thief who had barged inside the house during the wee hours of January 16, 2024. The incident occurred between 2 am to 4 am, and as per the latest update, Saif has undergone surgery at Lilavati Hospital and is out of danger, as per a report by NDTV. Dr Niraj Uttamani, who is the Chief Operating Officer of Lilavati Hospital, said that the actor had undergone 2.5-hour neurosurgery. An FIR has been filed against the thief at the Bandra Police station.
A tough scuffle had taken place between the actor and the thief after he tried his attempt to barge inside. Mumbai Police confirmed this, and later, the robber stabbed Saif six times before leaving the crime scene. The actor was got to the hospital around 3.30 am and had two deep wounds. One of the wounds was near the spine. Neurosurgeon Dr Nitin Dange, Cosmetic Surgeon Dr Leena Jain and Anaesthesiologist Dr Nisha Gandhi led Saif's surgery.
