Saif Ali Khan suffered grave injuries after a thief attacked him at his Mumbai home. Did Shah Rukh Khan visit the actor at the hospital? Here's the truth.
Saif Ali Khan was attacked by a knife on January 16, 2024 at his Satguru Sharan residence in Bandra, Mumbai. The attack took place around 2 Am, in which the actor suffered six wounds and, in a bleeding condition, his son, Ibrahim Ali Khan, with a househelp, rushed him to the hospital. He underwent surgery at Lilavati Hospital and is now out of danger. Now, reportedly Saif's friend, megastar Shah Rukh Khan, had come to visit the actor.
A video went viral on social media where a White Rolls Royce was seen entering Lilavati Hospital premises. It was claimed that Shah Rukh Khan had come to visit Saif. However, there has been no official confirmation as SRK was not spotted getting out of the car, and neither was visible.
Although SRK was not visible, eagle-eyed paps were quick to see his car heading to Lilavati Hospital and showed his support to Kareena and her family during this tough time.
Saif and SRK have a long friendship bond. They worked together in Kal Ho Naa Ho, where Saif played the role of Rohit Patel. SRK essayed Aman Mathur, who sacrificed his love for Preity Zinta. Shah Rukh also has a great bond with Kareena with whom he has given phenomenal movies like Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and Asoka. Earlier, in an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Saif had once spoken of working with King Khan in Kal Ho Naa Ho. He said:
"I was the last of the second leads. I felt a coming-of-age. I was working with the very best in the industry- Director, co-stars, DOP – and I held my own. I felt Shah Rukh taught me so much – mainly the responsibility of the main lead, but keeping up with him was a real challenge. This role led to me getting my first solo lead.”
Once, in an interview with India Today, Saif said that he had loved working with SRK whenever he got the chance. He also remembered hosting Filmfare awards, going on tours and doing Seagrams ad with the megastar. Saif also noted:
"He was also one of the few people at my wedding from the industry... I look up to him and he had influenced a lot of my thoughts on set. What I meant was I don't see myself doing a film with him unless I have a really interesting role... and most of the films he does revolve around him... and rightly so!!!," the "Happy Ending."
Saif has been shifted to the ICU after his surgery took place which was successful. The health of the actor is being monitored closely, and precautionary measures are being taken to ensure his speedy recovery. His close friends and family have asked for privacy during these critical times.
