Saif Ali Khan shared insights from his meeting with Prime Minister, Narendra Modi as he had accompanied the Kapoors to invite the latter for Raj Kapoor's 100th birthday celebration.
The Kapoor clan visited Prime Minister, Narendra Modi on December 10, 2024. The group included Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Karisma Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, and others. The family travelled to New Delhi to pass a special invitation to the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, for legendary actor Raj Kapoor's 100th birth anniversary celebration.
Saif Ali Khan recently met up with Prime Minister, Narendra Modi in Delhi. He had joined the entire Kapoor family, and the stills from their visit went viral in no time. Prime Minister's office also shared a clip of their meeting, which the netizens have been loving. Saif also recently spoke with HT City about the special meeting, where he revealed that PM Modi had just returned from Parliament when they visited him, and he had imagined he would be tired. The PM put on a smile and hosted the Kapoors with charm and warmth.
Saif Ali Khan revealed that he was happy that he had been a part of the visit to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's residence. He added that it was an honour for the family that a stamp was made to commemorate the showman, Raj Kapoor, on the occasion of his 100th birth anniversary. He stated:
"I am happy I could have been a part of it through Kareena, Karishma and Ranbir. What a lovely honour for the family to have a stamp with Raj Sahab to commemorate his 100th birth anniversary."
Saif Ali Khan, in the same conversation, also shared that PM Modi gave everyone equal and undivided attention. He revealed that the PM asked about his parents, Sharmila Tagore and the late Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, and even shared that he had thought that he would get to meet the third generation of Pataudis, Taimur and Jehangir. He stated:
"He asked about my parents individually and said he thought we would bring Taimur and Jehangir to meet him! He signed a paper for them that Kareena asked him to."
Saif Ali Khan continued the conversation and shared how Prime Minister, Narendra Modi looked like he was working exceedingly hard to run the country. He added that when he asked the PM how much rest he got, the latter shared that he only rests for about three hours every night. Saif concluded the conversation and shared his gratitude for the time the PM took to see them. He shared:
"To me, he looked like he was working very hard running the country and still taking time to connect on this level. I asked him how much rest he got and he said about three hours a night. It was a special day for me. We thanked him for taking out some of his valuable time to see us and give the family so much respect."
