Saif Ali Khan is currently operating at Lilavati Hospital. Amidst all the ongoing investigation, Daya Nayak was spotted at his residence, creating a stir on the internet. Here's the reason why!
Saif Ali Khan is currently admitted to Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital, and Mumbai police are actively investigating the robbery and attack that happened at his Bandra residence on January 15, 2025. The Bollywood actor sustained a major injury to the thoracic spinal cord. Due to this, doctors performed surgery, and during the medical process, a small part of the knife was removed from the spine. Not only this, the doctors even repaired his leaking spinal fluid. Apart from this major injury, Saif also suffered one wound on the neck and another on his left hand.
Amidst all the buzz and concern around Saif Ali Khan's stabbing case, people are asking questions from the Mumbai Police to share an update on their investigation so far. The matter has also shifted politically, as several politicians have started labelling Mumbai as an 'unsafe place'. As a result, Maharashtra Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis has convinced people that the police are investigating the case and will soon present an update on the matter.
With the passing of each hour, the serious incident is creating more and more buzz on and off the internet. However, just when people were raising their fingers on the investigation by Mumbai Police, a tall man in an all-black outfit was spotted at Saif Ali Khan's Bandra residence. His one slight appearance has created a stir on the internet, and the people who are aware of his background are now convinced that the intruders will soon be arrested. The person we are talking about is Daya Nayak, who is a renowned encounter specialist of the Mumbai Police.
For the uninitiated, Daya Nayak is not an ordinary encounter specialist. The inspector was a part of Mumbai Police's iconic 'Detention Unit', which was formed back in the late 1990s. According to reports, Daya started his career as a police officer back in 1995. His first encounter was with two renowned gangsters of the Chota Rajan Gang in December 1996. Daya has conducted 87 encounters so far in his career and is a renowned name across the Indian police community.
What's even interesting is that before becoming a famous and reliable police officer in the Mumbai Police, Daya Nayak worked as a plumber for many years. During his struggling days, he worked at a modest salary of Rs. 3,000 as a plumber. Apart from being a plumber, Daya also worked as a table cleaner at a hotel. While working to help his family financially, he graduated from D. N. Nagar's CES College and started trying to get into Mumbai Police.
In 1995, Daya Nayak joined the Mumbai Police Force as a trainee. He was later on posted to Juhu police station in 1996, and the rest is history. For the uninitiated, Nana Patekar's iconic film, Ab Tak Chhappan, was reportedly based on Daya Nayak's life as an encounter specialist. Vishram Sawant's Risk also has overtones of Daya's life in its story. Apart from these two films, several movies, including Encounter Daya Nayak, Siddham, Golimaar, and Department, were made with overtones of Daya's career.
