Saif Ali Khan Stabbed: 2.5 Inches Of Knife Was Removed From His Spine After Spinal Fluid Leaked Out

Saif Ali Khan was stabbed during a fight with an 'intruder'. While he's out of danger now, the doctors gave some details about the emergency surgery that took place.

Saif Ali Khan left his entire fanbase worried as he was stabbed by an 'intruder' in his Bandra residence. As per the reports, the actor suffered six deep wounds that he got during his fight with a burglary. He was admitted to the nearby Lilavati Hospital. Saif's team recently gave an update about the actor's health and mentioned that he's out of danger. Amid this, reports have claimed that it was Ibrahim who took the help of an auto to take his father to the hospital. Recently, the doctors have shared some details about the emergency operation that took place.

2.5 inches of knife was removed from Saif Ali Khan's spine

As Saif Ali Khan is out of danger, doctors from the Lilavati Hospital have shared the details about the emergency operation that took place. As per a doctor, 2.5 inches of knife was removed from the actor's wounds, which was lodged in his spine and caused the leaking out of his spinal fluid. The actor sustained a total of six wounds, and two of them were major.

Saif Ali Khan was stabbed six times, and he got two serious wounds near his spine area

As per several reports, Kareena attended a party the night the incident took place, and she came back home around 1.30 in the night. The incident took place one hour later when the burglar allegedly barged into their Bandra home. The burglar reportedly attacked their house help. If the reports are to be followed, Saif fought with the burglar to protect his family, and while the latter had a knife, the actor fought without any weapon, and he got hurt in the process.

As per the doctors, the actor sustained six wounds, and two of them were particularly deep, as the knife was lodged into his spine. As per a report by PTI, Dr Nitin Dange has stated that an emergency operation took place to remove the knife and to repair the leaking spinal fluid, while the other wounds were treated by the plastic surgery team. As per the doctor, the actor is stable now. Dr Dange said:

"Saif Ali Khan was admitted to the hospital at 2 am with alleged history of assault by some unknown person. He sustained a major injury to the thoracic spinal cord due to a lodged knife in the spine. A surgery was performed to remove the knife and repair leaking spinal fluid. Two other deep wounds on his left hand and one other on his neck were repaired by the plastic surgery team. He is completely stable now. He is recovering well and out of danger now,"

Ibrahim Ali Khan rescued his bleeding father, Saif Ali Khan and took him to hospital in an auto-rickshaw

A report recently claimed that the incident happened in the wee hours of January 16, 2025, and after being stabbed six times, Saif was bleeding heavily. It was Saif's son from his first marriage with Amrita Singh, Ibrahim Ali Khan, who came to his father's rescue. If the reports are to be believed, Ibrahim was the one to take Saif to the hospital, which was two kilometers from the actor's home where the incident took place. Well, at that time, their car was not ready, and Ibrahim was determined not to waste a single minute, which is why he took the help of an auto-rickshaw to take his father to the hospital.

The 'intruder' was reportedly hiding inside Saif and Kareena's home

Saif Ali Khan's team has stated that it was an attempted burglary, while the police claimed the attacker to be an 'intruder'. On the other hand, a report stated that the CCTV footage of Saif and Kareena's house didn't capture anyone barging into their house, and thus, it's being wondered if the attacker was hiding inside the couple's house.
