Throwback to the time when Saif Ali Khan talked about being attacked with a whiskey glass at a nightclub in Delhi.
Saif Ali Khan and his family faced one of the most traumatising situations in the wee hours of January 16, 2024, when the actor was attacked by an intruder in his Bandra home. It so happened that an intruder entered Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor’s home and reportedly wanted to hostage his younger son, Jeh.
As the attacker was on his way to approach Jeh, his nanny got alert and tried to stop the intruder. Hearing the scuffle in his house, Saif intertwined and was attacked with a knife. The actor sustained six deep injuries while fighting with the intruder. He was immediately rushed to the hospital and was operated upon. The knife had lodged near Saif’s spinal cord and was extracted during the surgery.
This is not the first time that Saif Ali Khan was attacked. Once, the actor got into a brawl at a nightclub in Delhi. The incident happened during the 90s after the premier of Tu Khiladi Mai Anari when Saif Ali Khan went clubbing in Delhi and was attacked by a man. However, during that time, it was written that Saif was also involved in the fight and was equally at fault.
However, in a throwback video interview with Lehren, Saif was seen speaking about his attack and stated that the scuffle happened when he refused to dance with a girl and her boyfriend got into a fight with him. Narrating the incident, a young Saif was seen stating that when he and his friends went to a nightclub to party, two girls approached him. But when he refused, one of their boyfriends said:
“You have a million-dollar face and I am going to spoil it. Aapka chehra bahut acha hai aur mai usko bigaadne waala hoon aur yahaan maar diya.”
But when asked why he didn’t file a complaint regarding the same, Saif said he didn’t want to give any publicity to the incident. In the same clip, Saif also addressed the fact that he did not start the fight and if something like that is published, he can explain what exactly happened.

Years later, when Saif Ali Khan appeared on Neha Dhupia’s show, No Filter Neha season 5, he opened up about the incident and shared what exactly happened. Revealing how he was attacked by a whisky glass, the actor said:
“So this is an unfortunate incident where a guy said, ’Please dance with my girlfriend’ and I was like ‘I don’t want to do that’, and he said ‘You’ve got a million dollar face’, which I really loved so I think I started smiling, even though it’s probably not true, and then he said, ‘I’m going to F it up for you’ and then he hit me with a whisky glass on my forehead and then we got into a fight.”
In the same conversation, Saif Ali Khan revealed how he bled profusely after being hit with the whisky glass. Saif also stated that he was attacked again with a soap dish and could have been killed. In his words:
“And then we ended up in the bathroom and I was wiping my wound because it was bleeding a lot. o, there was a flood of blood, I thought I don’t know what’s happened so I was wiping it with water, I looked at him and ‘I said look what you did’, as in let’s make up now and he attacked me with the soap dish. So, he was a lunatic and he might have killed me.”
