Bollywood's veteran actor, Dilip Kumar required regular health checkups due to his age. Recently, the 98-year-old actor got hospitalised due to some health issues in Mumbai's hospital, and his wife, Saira Banu shared an update on Dilip's health. Currently, the nation is fighting with the second wave of Coronavirus pandemic and this has become a subject of worry for Dilip Kumar's fans.

Before we take you further into the story, let us take a look at Dilip and Saira's journey so far. Together Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu have witnessed the toughest times and stood with each other like a rock. When Dilip ji had fallen sick, Saira ji held his hands and never left it even for a second.
Recently, in an interview with ETimes, Saira Banu shared that Dilip Kumar is recovering from the hospital. Also, Dilip Kumar had cancelled his birthday celebration due to the COVID-19 crisis.
For those who don't know, Dilip Kumar had lost his two brother's last year due to the Coronavirus. In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Sira had shared, "We are still unable to come to terms with the passing of our brothers, Ahsan bhai and Aslam bhai. Moreover, Sahib never plans anything for his birthday. In fact, he remembers the event only when he sees the flowers sent by his friends and well-wishers, lining the drawing-room and the foyer and the phone keeps ringing ceaselessly."

We remember in an interview with The Times Of India, Saira had shared the details of her engagement day. The veteran actress had said, "The day we got engaged, one girl- not from the industry- who was supposedly his girlfriend and had been almost up to the altar with him, took sleeping pills. Dilip saab had to rush to her and make her understand that he's in love with me. He pacified her and came back to the engagement ceremony. I got sort of used to such things. There were girls who would stand in front of his car and wish that the car runs over them."
In a 2010 interview with The Hindu, Saira had talked about the two big dreams of her life. She had stated that she had only dreamt of being famous like her mother and marrying the love of her life, Dilip Kumar. In Saira's words she had said that she had dreamt of only two things in life; to became famous like her mother and to marry Dilip sahab. Allah had fulfilled both her wishes.
