Salman Khan chose not to wait and pose for the paparazzi as usual at Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal's reception in Mumbai.
Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal’s registered civil marriage, followed by a gala reception became the talk of the town in no time. The couple, who have been dating one another for quite some time now, left everyone blushing with their cutesy chemistry and romance, as they got hitched. While their love story needs no introduction, the simple yet heartfelt arrangement that they made for their loved ones to enjoy their union, also won a lot of appreciation.
Well, Sonakshi and Zaheer’s reception held in Mumbai was attended by some of the most renowned names from the entertainment as well as business world. However, it was the presence of Bollywood’s bhaijaan, Salman Khan, that made all the difference. For the unversed, Sonakshi made her debut in the actor’s film, Dabangg. Clad in a formal three-piece suit, Salman made his way amid a tight retinue of security personnel. However, what caught everyone’s attention was that unlike other guests, he skipped posing for the paparazzi and used a separate entrance to go inside the bash.

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal’s wedding reception was truly one of a kind, as several senior celebrities graced the occasion and blessed the newlyweds for their journey together. Evergreen actress, Saira Banu joined the reception bash, and so did legendary diva, Rekha. Other guests at the bash included Kajol, Poonam Dhillon, Chunky Panday, Anil Kapoor, and more.
While Sonakshi Sinha’s unique equation with Salman Khan is known to almost everyone, interestingly, her father-in-law, Iqbal Ratansi has also a past connection with the superstar. For the unversed, Iqbal, who is a jeweller and a real estate businessman supported Salman financially at one point of time in his career. In fact, Salman even helped to launch his son, Zaheer into showbiz, with the film, Notebook. In one of his revelations during a press meet, Salman had acknowledged Iqbal Ratansi’s contribution and had said:
“Iqbal Ratansi used to work like my personal bank during my teenage years. Even today I have a loan I have a loan of Rs 2011 from him. Thank God that to date he has not asked for interest on his loan.”

Previously, in an interview with Mashable India, Sonakshi Sinha had recounted a hilarious anecdote about her bonding with Salman Khan. The diva mentioned knowing the superstar right at the time of her college days, when she used to work as a volunteer. Sonakshi remembered once volunteering for work on behalf of her college in a fashion week, when she bumped into Salman Khan. She revealed how Salman laughed off at learning of her first salary, which was only Rs. 3000, and further cutely even demanded a gift from her.
