Salman Khan is the most eligible bachelor in Bollywood. His dad, Salim Khan, once shared the real reason for the actor not marrying.
Salman Khan has romanced almost every actress on the big screen, and his career has spanned over three decades. His on-screen love stories make women go weak on their knees, but 'Bhaijaan' is strictly single off-screen and roams with the bachelor tag. Now, Salman's father, Salim, had once opened up about why his son remained single and was unsuccessful in finding love.
Fans of Salman Khan are waiting to see the actor get married. However, to their disappointment, it will not take place. Salman was allegedly in relationships with Somy Ali, Sangeeta Bijlani, and Katrina Kaif but never got married. Now, an old video of Salim Khan has gone viral on Reddit where he told Komal Nahata, the reason behind his son being single. Salim shared that when Salman gets into a relationship, he tries to find qualities like his mother in the lady. Salim said:
"Jab commitment ho jaata hai toh voh usko convert karne ki koshish karta hai, usme apni maa dhoondta hai. Voh toh possible nahi hai. Woh subah school chodne jaegi, ya subah unka breakfast banari hai, shamko unka homework leri hai. All these things that normal mother does at home."
Salim also shared that it was wrong on Salman's part to expect that a career-devoted lady would only look after the household affairs. Salim felt that Salman's lady love should not be deprived of her career goals and Salman felt that after marriage, she should sit at home.
Salim, going ahead in the same interview, had also stated that the reason his marriage was not happening was because of the contradictory thinking he had. Salim said Salman is mostly attracted to the heroines he works with, who work in a close atmosphere and are good-looking. However, things change when they become cautious with their careers and aim for higher goals in life.
Salman Khan is not commitment-phobic, but his reason for not getting married has got to do a lot with money. During an event conducted by India Today, the actor shared that wedding was a big thing from the monetary point of view. He said:
"Marriage has become such a big thing. You spend lakhs and lakhs and crores of money in getting somebody married. I can't afford. That's the reason I am single man."
The actor is rumoured to be dating Iulia Vantur. However, they have not made any official confirmation about the same. However, Iulia is mostly seen in majority of the social functions conducted by the Khan family. She has also been called 'Mrs Khan'. Iulia had also dropped an unseen picture of the actor with his niece, Ayat on his 57th birthday in 2024. She had called the actor and the niece the most 'beautiful souls' in her post.
