But Salman Khan's fans were recently upset after his highly-awaited film, Sikandar, failed to meet their expectations. A new media report revealed that the superstar took a note of the same and invited his fans to meet and chat with him.
Salman Khan understands the value of his fans and never fails to express his gratitude towards them. After Sikandar's failure, netizens expressed their desire to meet the actor by trending hashtags like 'Salman Khan Listen To Fans'. Surprisingly, he took it seriously and invited a few fans to meet him at his residence, Galaxy Apartments. People close to him, like Rahool N Kanal and others, made it possible, and several fans took to X to express their gratitude. According to Bollywood Hungama, fans pointed out the flaws of Sikandar to him and highlighted issues like poor promotions.
Salman Khan carefully took note of their feedback. An insider shared that the Dabangg actor himself revealed that he had doubts about the film at some point and promised his fans that he would choose better scripts in the future to delight them. Some fans even asked the actor to work with filmmakers like Ali Abbas Zafar and Kabir Khan, who have delivered hit films with him, such as Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Bharat, and the Tiger franchise. As per an insider:
"They (fans) further requested that just like Pooja Dadlani acts as a bridge between Shah Rukh Khan and his fans, Salman Khan should also have someone proactive in his team to keep him informed about fan messages and feedback. This person should also be available to pass on Salman's message to the fans."
Apart from other concerns, the report shared Salman Khan's fans complained to him about the film's poor marketing. They mentioned that the producer, Sajid Nadidwala's team didn't took their complain over film's piracy seriously. Moreover, his wife, Warda Nadiadwala, mocked and slammed the netizens who shared their dissatisfaction with the film. The source mentioned that fans showed the screenshot of her tweets to the actor. However, they aren't sure about his reaction to it.
When the gratitude post by fans over the meeting session and reports about its inside details surfaced online, netizens were impressed by Salman Khan's gesture. They pointed out how it is a rare incident for a big star to meet fans after his film's failure. One netizen shared how fans conveyed the right suggestion to the actor and penned, "Yeh toh acchi baat hai bhai ko pata chala ki acche script and acche director ke saath kaam karna chahiye." Another user highlighted Salman's kindness and wrote, "Bhaijaan aap bohot acche insaan ho. Love you dil se bhaijaan.”
Salman Khan starrer Sikandar is directed by A.R Murugadoss and stars Rashmika Mandanna, Sathyaraj, Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, Prateik Babbar, Kishore, Jatin Sarna and Sanjay Kapoor in key roles. It is produced by Saijd Nandiawala, who collaborated with Salman after Kick in 2014. It was released on March 30, 2025, continuing the superstar's trend of releasing his films on Eid. Sikandar follows the journey of a passionate person who fights against the corrupt system. According to Sacnilk, the film has earned Rs. 102.25 (India) against his budget of Rs. 200 in eight days.
