Samantha Akkineni and Naga Chaitanya had a destination wedding with just 150 guests. But the cost of their wedding is astounding.
The power couple of Tollywood, Samantha Akkineni and Naga Chaitanya can make anyone fall madly in love with them. Although they are completely opposite to each other, together they make for a perfect ‘power couple’ of the glamour world. It was during the shooting of her debut film, Ye Maaya Chesave, when Samantha and Chaitanya had struck a great friendship, which had eventually turned into love. Even after so many years of togetherness, Samantha and Chaitanya still radiate couple goals.

On February 14, 2021, i.e., Valentine’s Day, Samantha Akkineni had taken to her IG handle and had shared a lovely picture with the love of her life, Naga Chaitanya. Along with the picture, Samantha had written a hilarious caption, revealing how she had gotten lucky to be able to get a picture with Chaitanya. Her caption could be read as “Got lucky with this one @chayakkineni #vdaymush. For those of you asking for more pics of the both of us, the next scheduled date is Christmas... Approvals pending for birthdays, anniversary etc etc.”
After taking 8 years to confess their feelings to each other, Samantha Akkineni and Naga Chaitanya had begun their forever journey on October 6, 2017. They had a dreamy two-day destination wedding in Goa, first according to traditional South Indian Hindu rituals, and later in a Christian wedding. Do you know how much they had spent on their fairy tale wedding? According to the reports of Free Press Journal, the stunning couple, Samantha and Chaitanya had spent approximately Rs 10 crores for their wedding. The wedding was attended by 150 people and Samantha and Chaitanya had booked chartered flights for their special guests which had included, Mahesh Babu, Prabhas, Chiranjeevi, Allu Arjun, Ram Charana and a few others.
It was on January 29, 2017, when Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Akkineni had officiated their relationship with an engagement ceremony. The ceremony had taken place at the N-Convention Centre in Hyderabad. Samantha had opted for an ivory sari designed by designer, Krisha Bajaj with an off-shoulder blouse. Samantha’s Sari had Chai-Sam’s (lovingly called by their fans) love story embroidered on it.
Samantha and Naga Chaitanya’s wedding festivities had taken place in The W Goa in Vagator Beach and for the mehendi ceremony, Samantha had worn a power-blue coloured lehenga by her bridesmaid and designer, Krisha Bajaj. Samantha’s blue lehenga was embroidered with silk resham in various pastel shades. It had intricate details of glass beading, sequins and crystals. She had complemented her look with a pair of earrings and maang tikka by Vanraj Zaveri. On the other hand, Chaitanya had complemented Samantha in a salmon pink kurta.
For the wedding, Samantha had opted for a beautiful saree of Naga Chaitanya's grandmother D Rajeshwari which was presented to her. Samantha had paired the ivory Kanjeevaram silk saree with a crimson Sabyasachi blouse, teamed up with temple jewellery. The groom had donned a traditional silk dhoti and shirt for the Hindu wedding.

For the Christian wedding, Samantha had worn a white gown by Krishna Bajaj with an off-shoulder neckline. Her white gown was teamed up with a veil, embellished with crystals, rhinestones, glass beading and handmade organza flowers. She had paired her gown with a stunning diamond necklace coupled with matching earrings. Naga had walked down the aisle with his bride in a black tuxedo. The two of them had looked stunningly beautiful.
Samantha and Naga Cahitanya's wedding was followed up by star-studded wedding receptions. The first reception was organised by Chaitanya's uncle, Suresh Daggubati and it had taken place at the Taj Coromandel in Chennai on October 21, 2017. For the first reception, Samantha had opted for a pastel Anamika Khanna lehenga with delicate floral embroidery, while Chaitanya had opted for a black suit The second wedding reception was hosted at Hyderabad in November 2017, which was attended by the noted names of the glamour word. For their second reception, Samantha had worn an embellished gown by Falguni Shane Peacock and Chaitanya had opted for a navy-coloured suit.
In an interaction with Famously Filmfare, Naga had said that he feels so blessed to be married to Samantha and had shared, "I think there was a point when we both were single. We hung out more than normal. So, automatically things started building between us. I was also mentally looking to settle down. I always looked forward to having a family. So, all those thoughts started flowing in my head and she was right there in front of me. So, I was like she is a known devil (chuckles). I know all her mischief and I am fine with them."
Adding further, Naga Chaitanya had also revealed why it is better to marry a best friend and had stated, "They say it is the best thing to marry your best friend. I believe if personal life is balanced, work, money and everything else just fall into place. That is my religion. My biggest priority is to keep that balance at home. My wife should be happy. My family should be happy. If I see a smile on their face, I can go to work happily and make money."
