In a throwback interview, Samantha Akkineni once talked about how her husband, Naga Chaitanya fell for her even though she made mistakes. Read on to know why she called him 'husband material'!
Tagged as the power couple of Tollywood, Samantha Akkineni and Naga Chaitanya's love story is one of a kind and will restore one's faith in true love. Though they might be quite different from each other, but as they say, 'opposites attract', that is very much true in the case of this duo and together they make an adorable couple. It was during the shooting of her debut film, Ye Maaya Chesave, when Samantha and Chaitanya had struck a chord. Eventually, their close friendship had turned into love.
For the unversed, Samantha and Naga Chaitanya's wedding festivities had taken place at The W Goa in Vagator Beach. They had gotten married according to the Hindu rituals as well as the Christian rituals in 2017. However, after enjoying marital life for four years, reports are rife that the duo is going through a rough patch in their married life and they are on the verge of divorce. Though none of them has confirmed the news of their separation, Samantha had dropped Akkineni from her name, a few months back.

In 2019, Samantha had made an appearance on Feet Up With The Stars (Telugu). During the interaction, she had made some revelations about her husband, Naga Chaitanya and that would make every girl want a husband like him. She had said, ''Chay is completely husband material. He has seen me from nothing. I remember I didn’t have money to make a call to my mother from the US. I took his phone and made a call home. ''
Going further in the interaction, Samantha Akkineni had also revealed that Chaitanya has seen her make the most horrible mistakes, yet his love for her never decreased even a bit. In her words, ''Chay has seen me from that to this, so how can it be anybody else, right? Anybody else only knows me halfway. As a human being also, he has seen me make the most horrible mistakes.” She also added that Chaitanya had loved her for the things that she wasn't even proud of.

When the host, Lakshmi Manchu had asked Samantha about the three things that she had changed in their bedroom after marrying, Naga Chaitanya, Samantha had giggled hearing the question and the host had revealed that they live together before their marriage. Lakshmi had stated, ''I can’t say you guys were living together before. You only dug your grave.”
However, after rephrasing the question, when Lakshmi Manchu had asked Samantha Akkineni what differences she had gone through in the bedroom from being single to being with a man, the actress had revealed that Naga Chaitanya loves his pillow like anything. She had added, ''Chay is married to his pillow. Even if I have to hug him, the pillow is always between us. He is going to kill me if I say more. I think I have said enough.”

After knowing each other for eight years, Samantha and Chaitanya had tied the knot on October 6, 2017.
