For quite some time, rumours were rife that the once madly in love couple, are no longer together. However, they kept quiet and made sure not to talk ill about each other in media interactions.
For those who don't know, Samantha and Naga Chaitanya had first met on the sets of their hit film, Yeh Maaya Chesave. However, they didn't fell in love at that time. Instead, their dating speculations started in the year 2015 when they were often spotted together. Their fans keep on sharing adorable pictures of them with the hashtag 'ChaySam'.

After Samantha and Chaitanya announced their separation, rumours are rife that the actress was given 200 crore alimony. However, according to a report in India Today, Samantha had declined a 200 crore alimony, which Chaitanya and his family passed. A source revealed that Samantha had decided not to even take a single penny from them.
The source also shared that Samantha is trying to focus on her work. She said, "It's not easy for Samantha to get up and go to work every day. She is massively heartbroken. But she doesn't want any project that she is associated with to suffer because of her personal life. She has always been a thorough professional and continues to be, putting up a brave front every day. It's not in her to be unprofessional."

On October 2, 2021, Samantha and Chaitanya had announced their divorce. Their statement could be read as "To all our well-wishers. After much deliberation and thought Chay and I have decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths. We are fortunate to have a friendship of over a decade that was the very core of our relationship, which we believe will always hold a special bond between us."
Meanwhile, on the work front, Samantha will be next seen in Gunasekhar film's Shaakuntalam.
