Bride Samantha Wore Royal Necklace And Saree When She Got Married According To Hindu Traditions

One of the most adorable lovebirds and famous couples from down South, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya, have been so much in the news recently. Quite evidently, because of their marriage. Their marriage has been quite a talk of the town recently.

The couple met on the sets of the hit Tollywood film Yem Maaya Chesave in 2009 and have been together since then. Adorably and popularly called 'samchay' by their fans, they broke a million hearts when they got engaged on January 29, 2017, after eight years of courtship.

And now, they have tied the nuptial knot! Yes! After nine months post-engagement they were pronounced husband and wife on October 6, 2017, exactly at 11.52 pm (during the muhuratam, the auspicious time).

Their wedding was a grand affair which took place, in all filmy style, at the W Goa hotel in Bardez, Goa. Naga-Samantha had two weddings, one of which took place on October 6 as per the Hindu rituals, and other on October 7 as per Christian rituals. As of the Hindu wedding, it kick-started with the mehendi ceremony at 3 pm. Samantha looked extremely beautiful in her outfit of powder blue lehenga, with pink and blue floral embroidery. Her platinum jewellery and a beautiful maang-teeka added another grace and charm to her appearance. Naga wore a traditional kurta-pyjama and was looking no less than a handsome heartthrob.

And then, at the night, came the D-day, the wedding day which millions of fans had been waiting for. Naga tied the mangal sutra to Samantha at 11.52 pm, and they together entered their marital life.

For the wedding, Samantha wore a beautiful saree of Naga Chaitanya's grandmother D Rajeshwari which was presented to her. Coupled with beautiful jewellery, armbands and waistbands, she looked like an adorable queen during the rituals. The groom donned in traditional silk dhoti and shirt for the Hindu wedding.

It is to be noted here that the saree that Samantha wore was then re-designed and crafted again with changes by Kresha Bajaj, who is one of the top designers in the country and Koecsh is her brand name (In case you missed it, here's her lehenga story).
