Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya were the 'IT' couple of the South Indian film industry. They got married in 2017 and parted ways in 2021 on bitter terms. Fast forward to today, both Chaitanya and Samantha have moved on in their respective lives and are focusing on their careers. However, reports are abuzz that the ex-couple may have taken a step forward to bury the hatchet and are thinking about reconciling.
Recently, Samantha got diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, myositis, and rumours had it that Naga Chaitanya wanted to meet his ex-wife after hearing this unfortunate news. Later, reports were rife that Chaitanya and his father, Nagarjuna couldn't visit Samantha in the hospital due to their work commitments. However, Naga called up the actress to ask about her well-being amid her myositis treatment.

According to a report in News18, it is stated that Samantha Ruth Prabhu was softened up by Chaitanya's gesture, and she has decided to bury all her hard feelings for him. Moreover, the report added that the actress is planning to reconnect with her estranged husband, but it is not sure whether they will give their marriage another chance or just remain friends. However, neither Naga Chaitanya nor Samantha Ruth Prabhu has given an official statement about it yet.
During her appearance on the talk show, Koffee With Karan 7, Samantha Ruth Prabhu had opened up about her ex-husband, Chaitanya, and revealed that there are hard feelings. When the show's host, Karan Johar asked Samantha if the situation is amicable between them, the actress disagreed with it. Mentioning that they can't be in one room without hurting each other, Samantha said:
"There are hard feelings like if you put the both of us in a room you have to hide sharp objects. So as of now, yes. It's not an amicable situation right now. It might be in the future."

A few months back, reports were rife that Samantha Ruth Prabhu is once again ready to embrace love in her life with open arms. As per a report in Cine Josh, it was stated that Samantha was interested in finding love in life and she was thinking about a second marriage. The report added that the actress had been convinced to opt for remarriage by her Guru, Sadhguru Jagadish Vasudev, who had successfully managed to influence Samantha to consider giving love a second chance.
On the work front, Samantha will be next seen in the film, Yashoda.
