Last few months, Samantha had been hitting the headlines constantly after getting divorced from her actor-husband, Naga Chaitanya. For the unversed, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya had got married on October 6-7, 2017. They had tied the knot in a two-day destination wedding in Goa. While their fans were waiting for them to announce the 'good news', their sudden divorce announcement had broken many hearts.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu is a doting mommy of two dogs, Sasha and Hash, and she often shares glimpses from her time with her pooches. On May 27, 2022, Samantha Ruth Prabhu shared a picture of herself spending some time with her furry pet, Sasha on her IG handle. In the picture, the actress can be seen pampering Sasha as she took a break from her training session. Sharing the picture, she wrote:
"Early rising and loving...Missed this."
However, a netizen took a dig at the actress' love life and trolled her saying, "She's gonna end up dying alone with cats & dogs." However, the Eega actress shut down the troller with a savage reply and left her fans stunned by her sharp wit. Samantha hit back at the naysayer and gave a befitting reply to him as she added to his tweet saying:
"I would consider myself Lucky."
Earlier, on March 10, 2022, Samantha had attended the Critics Choice Awards, and the actress had got brutally trolled for her bold green outfit. However, she had stood by her ensemble decision and had quashed all the trolls. Samantha had taken to her IG stories and had shared a long note, dedicated to all the trolls that had pointed out her dress to be tacky and all the negative comments that it had received. She had asked her fanbase to stop judging a woman based on the hemlines and necklines. She had further added that one should focus on bettering themselves and not to project our deals on someone.
On the work front, Samantha will be next seen in the action film, Yashoda.
