Samantha Ruth Prabhu reacted strongly as a minister recently shared alleged misleading information about the actress' divorce from Naga Chaitanya.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu is one of the much-loved actresses in the entertainment world. The actress has won hearts with her acting skills over the years. In her personal life, Samantha was married to Naga Chaitanya. Well, the couple parted ways after a few years of their marital bliss. While the reason for their divorce isn't known yet, Naga Chaitanya recently got engaged to Sobhita Dhulipala. Amid this going on, cabinet minister, Konda Surekha made a shocking claim by stating that Samantha and Chaitanay's separation was caused by political influence. And now, Samantha reacted to the same.
Recently, cabinet minister Konda Surekha made some shocking claims and mentioned that the Telangana minister, KT Rama Rao's influence and interference caused some issues in the Akkineni family that led to Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya's separation. Well, Samantha reacted to the same. She took to her IG handle and shared a statement, wherein she requested the minister to respect an individual's privacy.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu, in her statement, stated that for a woman to work in the glamour world, survive, fall in love, and fall out of it and yet stand still and continue to fight shouldn't be trivialised. She also added that her divorce from Naga Chaitanya was a private thing, so one should not just spread misconception. The actress further added that her divorce from Naga Chaitanya was done through mutual consent and no political influence was behind it.
On the other hand, Nagarjuna also slammed Konda Surekha for the remarks she had recently made about Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu's divorce. Taking to his X, Nagarjuna mentioned that Konda Surekha's allegations and utterly untrue and irrelevant. An excerpt from Nagarjuna's statement reads:
"Do not use the personal lives of movie stars, who remain outside of politics, to target your political opponents. Please respect their privacy. As a woman holding a responsible position, your accusations against our family are both irrelevant and false. I urge you to retract your statements immediately."
Back in October 2021, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya announced their separation through an official statement. The ex-coupe revealed that after careful consideration, they had decided to part ways as husband and wife, and they were fortunate to share a friendship for a decade, which held a special bond in their hearts as well.
The ex-couple further asked their fans to respect their privacy in that crucial time. Well, it's worth mentioning that the reason for the couple's divorce isn't known yet, but while being on KWK, Samantha revealed that she and Chaitanya had hard feelings between them.
It was on August 8, 2024, when Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala exchanged rings. For the unversed, soon after the actor separated from Samantha, reports about Sobhita and his dating buzz hit the headlines. Well, they never reacted to the same until they got engaged. If the reports are to go by Sobhita and Chaitanya would get married in 2025.
