Samantha Ruth Prabhu is a successful actress in Tollywood. The actress never skips a chance to mesmerise everyone with her journey. Well, her personal life has been discussed much in public. It was in 2017, when Samantha got married to the love of her life, Naga Chaitanya. However, it was after a few years of their marital bliss and five days ahead of their fourth anniversary, when the couple announced their separation, leaving their fans heartbroken. Did you know that Samantha rejected crores from Chaitanya and his family as a marriage settlement alimony? Yes, you read it right!
Soon after Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya's separation announcement, several buzz was there in the media. Among all, it was also said that the actress was offered Rs. 200 crore from Naga Chaitanya and his family as the marriage settlement alimony. Well, Samantha reportedly rejected the offer after a lot of careful consideration. The actress didn't take a penny from Chaitanya and his family, as she had worked really hard to establish herself in the glamour world and didn't need money from him.
As per another report, Samantha was offered Rs. 50 crore, which, again, she didn't want to take. As per a source, the actress was heartbroken and it was even tough for her to get out of bed and work. The source revealed that Samantha only wanted love and companionship from her marriage, and as it was over, she didn't need anything else from it. The source can be quoted as saying:
"Samantha, who is heartbroken and distraught, only needed love and companionship from this marriage and now that it is over, she doesn’t need anything else from it."
It was back in 2021 when producer, Neelima Guna, in an interview with The News Minute, revealed that Samantha was planning to have a baby just before announcing her separation. She revealed that the actress loved the story of the film Shakuntalam, but she wanted the team to wrap up the work before July/August of 2021 because she was planning to focus on her personal life, as she wanted to be a mom.
Neelima further added when Samantha was assured that the work would be over by her preferred timescale, she was happy and told the producer that she would take a long break after the film, as she wanted to have children and plan her family. For the unversed, it was in October 2021, when Chaitanya and Samantha announced their split.
It was on August 8, 2024, when Naga Chaitanya got engaged to Sobhita Dhulipala. Well, Samantha didn't react to it. But recently, a politician mentioned that the split between the actress and Chaitanya was caused by political influence on KT Rama Rao's part. Samantha lashed out at the politician and asked her not to trivialise her journey, as well as talk about her personal life. She further mentioned that her divorce was made by mutual consent and no political influence was behind it.
