Samantha Ruth Prabhu revealed that she suffered a concussion while filming 'Citadel: Honey Bunny', expressing that no one asked her about it on the set. Read on to learn more about it.
For the forthcoming Amazon web series, Citadel: Honey Bunny, Samantha Ruth Prabhu will be working with her The Family Man filmmakers, Raj & DK once again. There is a lot of action in the program, which is a high-octane spy thriller. The actor claims that she performed many of the stunts herself. But the drawback was that she sustained a concussion during the shoot.
In an interview with Galatta India, Samantha recalled an injury she sustained while shooting Citadel: Honey Bunny, mentioning that she had a concussion which caused her to forget names and completely blank out. She described the experience as quite something. In her words:
"I had a concussion and I forgot the names after that. I completely blanked out. That was quite something."
The actress, Samantha Ruth Prabhu jokingly added that, upon reflection, nobody had taken her to the hospital or even asked if she needed help. She laughed at the thought, emphasising how unexpected the situation was during such a hectic shoot. After that, Sita Menon, the show's writer, explained that they did have a doctor on call, but Samantha doesn't recall this because she had a concussion. Samantha said:
"Now that I think of it, nobody took me to the hospital. Nobody asked me."
The actress, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, mentioned that despite her concussion, she was eager to work because she knew they had limited time at that location. She recalled being aware that they had the set for less than a day and needed to wrap up the shoot.
In her dazed state, Samantha Ruth Prabhu felt compelled to respond, saying she was on her way. However, she soon realised the stunt guy was in front of her, leading to confusion, and they eventually called for a cut, deciding it wasn’t going to happen. In her words:
"I remember, during my concussion, hearing that we have the set only for less than a day, we need to finish the shoot. So in my concussion, I was like, ‘I am coming, people, I am coming.’ Then I remember the stunt guy was in front of me, and then I was like, ‘What am I doing?’ and they were like, ‘Okay, cut, not happening."
Citadel: Honey Bunny, starring Emma Cannin, Simran Bagga, and Kay Kay Menon, is generating buzz ahead of its release. It will be available on Amazon Prime Video on November 7, 2024.
