Samantha Ruth Prabhu has decided to take a year-long break for her health condition. The gorgeous actress will be getting treated for her health condition in the US and South Korea.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been going through a challenging phase for over a year now. From parting ways with Naga Chaitanya to suffering from a health condition, Myositis, Samantha has seen a lot. However, the gorgeousness didn't let anything come in the way of her work and continued shooting her films and promoting them. But now, Samantha has decided to take a year-long sabbatical from acting.
After finishing off the Indian chapter of the action-thriller, Citadel, Samatha has decided to a break from acting at least for one year. While there are gossipmongers who are speculating about her decision, Samantha primarily took a break to focus on her health. According to a report in the Hindustan Times, a source close to the actress revealed she would be taking a break and was waiting to wrap up her projects.

There were also reports that Samantha has returned the money to producers for the projects, she had signed. The source revealed that is just a rumour and assumption. Talking about the same, the source said:
"This is a bit of assumption and exaggeration because she decided to take a break some time ago and was not even accepting anything. There is no new project where her name was associated with."
The source confirmed that Samantha is taking a break to focus on her health. She has to go for the main treatment and therapy session for her condition. She is planning to go to the US for her treatment and is expected to visit South Korea as well. In 2022, Samantha was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called Myositis. She had taken a six-month break from the treatment at that time.
On January 9, 2023, Samantha appeared for the trailer launch of her upcoming film, Shaakunantalam. A video from the trailer launch has been making rounds on the internet, wherein Samantha broke down while recalling her struggles. However, her fans were left super emotional as the actress tried to calm down and was seen laughing while wiping her tears.
In the clip, Samantha said that no matter her struggles, her love for cinema won't change. She said:
"No matter how many struggles I face in life, one thing won’t change. That’s how much I love cinema and cinema loves me back. I strongly believe that this love will grow manifold with Shaakuntalam."
