Samay Raina Shares If He Regrets Cracking Dark Jokes After Fallout With Kusha Kapila And Uorfi Javed

Samay Raina revealed if he regretted any of the dark jokes he has made throughout his career. He recently had a fallout with Kusha Kapila and Uorfi Javed walked out of 'India's Got Latent'.

Samay Raina is a famous stand-up comedian known for his dark and borderline offensive jokes and roasts. While he has not accepted that his comedy counts in the dark genre, his roast on Kusha Kapila's divorce has gone viral and has clearly indicated his insensitive approach towards humour. Recently, Uorfi Javed also walked out of Samay's show, India's Got Latent, after a contestant made belt jokes about her and poked fun at her body count and sexuality.

Samay Raina reveals if he has ever regretted cracking any joke

Recently, Samay participated in an 'Ask me Anything' session on Reddit. Therein, a netizen asked Samay if he had ever regretted any joke. Sammy replied that he had never regretted any jokes but rather had learnt from them. In Samay's words:

Uorfi Javed clarified Samay Raina wasn't to be blamed for what happened to her on his show

After Uorfi Javed slammed the contestant who asked for her body count and misbehaved on the show, India's Got Latent, she came in support of Samay Raina. Taking to her Instagram stories, Uorfi shared that Samay is not to be blamed for what happened to her on the show. She stated that he is a friend and has been sweet to her since then. She wrote:

"Also in no way I blame @MaiSamayHoon He is a friend, I'm talking about the contestants. The entire team came and consoled me. Samay has been nothing but nice to me since then."

For the unversed, Uorfi Javed addressed the incident when she was abused on Samay Raina's show by a contestant. She felt humiliated and walked out of the show. Talking about it, Uorfi sated that these people consider themselves cool by insulting and slut-shaming women. Uorfi's story could be read as: 

"I think I missed the memo; nowadays people think it’s cool to abuse someone or just slut-shame someone for some views. I’m sorry, but I’m not okay with anyone abusing me, slut-shaming me for my body counts (which they don’t know but assumed it must be high). All this for what? For 2 mins of fame?"

Further, Uorfi revealed that the person who abused her on the show wasn't even joking. He was serious, and when she asked him why he was faking being handicapped, he got mad at her. She even objected to another contestant who compared her to Mia Khalifa. Uorfi wrote:

"The guy who abused me wasn’t even joking. He got legit mad at me when I asked him why he was faking being handicapped! He just abused me on the stage in front of so many people. The next one was just trying to be cool, slut-shaming me and comparing me to Mia Khalifa, expressing his displeasure over my high body count. I was disgusted. The place I was at, everyone thought this was cool. No, it’s not. It’s not cool."

Samay's show, India's Got Latent, is a unique reality show, wherein people from across the nation can show their talent, which could be anything within a minute. However, at the start of the show, they have to rate themselves from one to ten, and if the contestant and the judges' average score match, the person would win the show. It has introduced fans to some of the amazing comedians and their unmatchable gigs. According to an influencer, Ayushman Pandita, Samay earns around Rs. 1.5 crores every month through the show. However, he keeps most of his content uncensored. However, certain controversial clips have been released on his 'Members only' platform, which adds to his overall income.
