Indian Revenue Service officer, Sameer Wankhade reacted to Shah Rukh Khan infamous dialogue from 'Jawan' about his son.
Shah Rukh Khan, the 'King' of Bollywood, is known for his acting prowess, humble nature, and charming personality. He is also a devoted family man, always there to support his wife and kids. In 2021, his elder son, Aryan Khan, was arrested in a drug case. However, Aryan was eventually cleared of all charges after spending 26 days in jail, bringing a sense of relief to the family.
For the unversed, it was Indian Revenue Service Officer, Sameer Wankhede who led the Aryan Khan's case in drug involvement. Moreover, he was later taken under trial for allegedly taking money from SRK to secure the release of Aryan Khan. Things escalated after several screenshots of alleged chats between Sameer and Shah Rukh Khan surfaced online.
Shah Rukh Khan's 2023 film, Jawan, was a massive box office success. However, the film's iconic dialogue, "Bete ko haath lagane se pehle baap se baat kar", caused quite a stir. The dialogue was associated with Sameer Wankhade, who said that it was an alleged dig towards him. Now, in a recent podcast with Gaurav Thakur, Sameer reacted to the dialogue and on SRK in general.
Sameer said that the words used in the dialogue like baap, and beta are very cheap and third-class. He is not an avid film fan, so he has no idea about such things, but the dialogue is cheap. In India, we don't use such language, and only road-side goons prefer to talk in such a way. He is above all of it and won't say anything much about the person (SRK) or the dialogue. In Sameer's words:
“Aur ye joh dialogue hain jo apne kaha hain… main movies dekhta nahi hoon, jyada nahi dekhta movies, so yeh jo words hain… ’baap’, ‘beta’ ye bahot hi cheap aur third-rate words lagte hain mujhe. Humare bharatiye sanskriti main aise words istemaal nahi karte. Toh ye road-side dialogues hain and I don’t expect myself ki ye level pe jaake main ye road-side dialogues ka jawaab doon."
Sameer was accused of demanding money from SRK to release his son, Aryan, from jail. It was also alleged that he framed Aryan just to extort money from the star. Sameer preferred not to talk about the case as it is still under judiciary proceedings. Sameer further added:
“Dekhiye mein kisi ka naam leke kisi ko famous nahi karna chahta hoon. Jo chats leak vagairah hein woh honourable High Court ke saame hain toh uspe koi tippani nahi dena chahunga main."
