Police officer, Sameer Wankhede, who was involved in Aryan Khan's drug case, reacts to getting booked by ED for accepting bribe from Shah Rukh Khan.
Sameer Wankhede, a police officer, became a popular name after he got involved in the arrest of Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan in a drug case in 2021. While Aryan was able to get a clean chit within a year, Sameer, however, got embroiled in a bribery case of Rs. 25 crores, which he ended up reportedly winning in 2023, against the CBI’s claims. And yet again, Sameer has found himself in a tight spot, as the Enforcement Directorate registered a fresh bribery case against him.
As per a new report, the Enforcement Directorate registered a new money laundering case against Sameer Wankhede, under the same case of accepting bribe from Aryan Khan’s father, Shah Rukh Khan. Booked under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, the new case has also resulted in summoning prior NCB officials who were a part of the case. And now, Sameer reacted to the report and said:
“ED had registered the said ECIR in 2023. It is surprising that this ECIR is based on the CBI FIR, which is already under question before the Bombay HC. Since the matter is subjudice, I don't intend to comment anything further. I will give the appropriate reply in the court at the appropriate time. I reiterate that I have full faith in the Indian Judiciary. Satyamev Jayate."

The entire internet was shocked when Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan’s name came up for getting allegedly booked in a drug case in 2021. The time was extremely difficult for the superstar and his family, and they had to go through a difficult trial, both in the court and in the media. For the unversed, it was Sameer Wankhede who booked the star kid for alleged consumption of narcotic substances, and finally the Narcotics Control Bureau arrested him. After a long wait of 26 days, Aryan was given bail by the Bombay High Court due to lack of evidence. And finally, after a year, Aryan Khan finally got a clean chit.
Despite having gone through such a difficult time, Shah Rukh Khan and his family maintained a dignified silence all throughout the time of Aryan Khan’s arrest in the drug case. However, it was back during the acceptance of his award for Indian of the Year in 2023, that SRK finally opened up about that difficult phase of his life and said:
“At a personal level, a little bit of bothersome and unpleasant things also happened to say the least which made me learn a lesson that be quiet, be very quiet and work hard with dignity. When you think everything is good, and still know it in your heart when everything is good, suddenly out of nowhere, whoom, life may come and hit you.”
