Whether it is the first time or second, carrying a life inside you is one of the most magical feelings in the world for a woman. Lucky are those ladies, who get to experience this natural process of giving birth to their joint production with their husbands. De Dana Dan actress, Sameera Reddy is currently living each and every moment of her second-time pregnancy. Sameera has been married to Akshai Varde since April 2014.
Sameera and Akshai are already parents to their little baby boy, Hans Varde, who was born to them on May 24, 2015. In February 2019, we got the happy news of Sameera expecting her second baby in 2019. Ever since Sameera’s second-time pregnancy news came into the limelight, she has been ardently using her social media accounts. Right from flaunting her baby bump, giving kickass replies to the trolls who tried to target her, sharing her godh bharai pictures and what not, Sameera has been quite vocal about her thought and very confident about flaunting her curves all this while. Now, Sameera took to her Instagram handle and shared a few clicks from her underwater maternity shoot. Yes, that’s what you read ‘UNDERWATER’ and trust us she looks breathtakingly stunning in the clicks by a famous photographer, Sumer Verma (Luminous Deep).
Sharing the following picture today (July 4, 2019), Sameera wrote along with it, “I wanted to celebrate the beauty of the bump in my 9th month. At a time when we feel the most vulnerable, tired, scared, excited and at our biggest and most beautiful! I look forward to sharing it with you guys and I know the positivity will resonate because we all are at different phases of our lives with unique sizes and we need to love and accept ourselves at every level #imperfectlyperfect. @luminousdeep you have been outstanding, and you are super talented! Thnk you.” Checkout all the pictures here:
Talking in-depth about her maternity shoot, Sameera told the Bombay Times, “Talking about my pregnancy and flaunting it has been liberating; it has given me a lot of confidence. I always wanted to do a photo-shoot like this, and I feel proud that I could pull it off by myself with support from friends and family. What got me thinking was, why was I being offered maternity shoots that were only coy, floral and subdued?" She further added, Why were they imagining a pregnant woman only covered in gowns? I could not connect with that idea. This photo-shoot is a manifestation of who I am and how proud I feel about my body and the shape it is in right now. I wanted to celebrate it and not be scared of people judging me.”
She also revealed that by posting these pictures on social media, she will be supporting others who feel that they are being judged, “A few months ago, I realised the kind of pressure there is on social media to look stereotypically perfect. So, I want to start a #imperfectlyperfect campaign for every woman, who has been scrutinised for her body contours, flaunting her baby bump, or looking a certain way after having a baby. People don’t leave a chance to make you feel bad, I’m just doing something to make women like me feel great. This photo shoot is one step forward in that direction. Change begins at home, as they say.”
Earlier, sharing a before and after picture, Sameera had written, “I touched 102 Kgs in May 2015, the month Hans was born, and I’m not scared to admit it. It took me to the deepest darkest places in my head. My confidence shattered. And I couldn’t lose the weight for a year after because I was too scared to even step out. I disappeared because I didn’t have the strength to be judged by the world after all the years of being glam and fit on screen. But the beautiful part is that you can only hit your lowest low to know you can absolutely climb out of that hole. It’s a fight. A hard one.” (You May Like: Sanjay Dutt's Daughter Trishala's Boyfriend Passes Away, She Sounds Inconsolable In Her Latest Post)
Her post could further be read as, “Took me 2 years more to lose the weight and to step out and face the world again but I wish I had the courage then. I did it naturally with no fad diets, no easy way out. Only with dedicated workout, yoga, pilates and strength training. It’s important for me to post this now because I need women to know the struggle is real. The mood swings, hormonal changes and losing your body shape can mess with your mind. It’s a superficial world and people can be hurtful if you don’t keep up. But the key is to be fearless. Only you can get out of that rut. It’s yours to change. Be brave. You can move mountains if you just will it. Special thanks to the best workout crew who also gave me the physical & emotional strength to get fit again @yogabypramila @adishroff @ivan_ultimatefitness @nyelakapadia & Kaizen Motafram my Pilates guru! love you guys.”
During an auto-expo show, Sameera had lashed back at the ones who body-shamed her. She was quoted as saying, “I have one question for these trolls. Where do you guys come from? Your mothers, right? Was your mother very hot after you came out? I am just saying that it’s shameful because it is such a natural process and it’s so beautiful, it’s so amazing. And there are sexy ones like Kareena who just come out looking fully hot and then there are people like me who take time. It took me time with the first baby. Maybe it will take me time with the second baby. But what’s important is to accept yourself. And to all the trolls out there, say what you want guys. I think that I have a superpower. I am giving birth to a baby.” (Checkout: Shilpa Shetty Kundra Is Enjoying Her Family Time In London, Shares A Cute Video Of Feeding The Ducks)
