In a recent interview, Sana Makbul opened up about her dating life and revealed why she is against being in a relationship with actors.
Sana Makbul grabbed attention when she became the winner of the controversial reality show, Bigg Boss OTT 3. The actress is currently dating Telugu businessman, Srikanth Bureddy, who hinted at their wedding when he arrived to pick her up at the grand finale of BB. While he confirmed their relationship, Sana once reacted that she doesn't know any Srikanth.
In an interview with News18 Showsha, Sana Makbul opened up about her dating life and shared that she has never been into actors. She also spilt the beans on why she never wanted to date them and said that it is important to understand each other and take criticisms positively. Sana said:
“I’ve actor friends who’re either married or are dating but they don’t have that sense of security. Everyone has their own perspective on this, but I’ve never dated anybody who’s an actor. I’ve never been in a situation like that. I’ve always looked for somebody outside the industry, maybe a businessman. And since I haven’t had the experience of dating an actor, I don’t know how it works.”
Sana admitted that couples who belong to the same profession often face problems. She further added that one should not take criticisms to heart in a relationship and should always have open communication. She cited Neha Kakkar and Rohanpreet Singh's example and revealed being jealous of them. Speaking about it, the Bigg Boss OTT 3 winner said:
“If I talk about Rohanpreet and Neha, there’s an understanding that they share and that’s what partnership is all about. It’s all about appreciating each other. As husband and wife, they understand each other’s professions too. They may not like each other’s works but if they’ve the transparency when it comes to communication, then it gets very easy. I look at them and feel really jealous (laughs). I’m in awe of them. I want to have what they have.”
Sana Makbul further revealed that modern dating isn’t meant for her and that she doesn’t endorse the idea of dating apps. She remarked that she is old school and craves commitment in a relationship. Sana added that when she is committed to someone, she will be with them forever. In her words:
“I’m not into left swipe and right swipe. It’s a big cross! I’m really old school. Commitment is very important to me. If I’ve committed to someone, I’ll be with them forever. My mantra is that either you don’t be in a relationship ya toh usko nibhaao agar aapne kisiko zabaan de diya hai toh.”
She further revealed the one thing about the courtship period that she loves the most. To this, the Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon actress said that she loves going on dates and recalled that somebody once took her out on a date on her birthday in Thailand. In her words:
“I love going on dates. Once I was in Thailand and somebody took me out on a date where it was just me and him. It was my birthday and so, it was really special.”
