Being the Indian tennis sensation and World No. 1 doubles player, Sania Mirza had said qubool hai to Pakistani cricketer and former captain, Shoaib Malik and proved that love conquers all. Despite being questioned at every step of relationship, Sania and Shoaib overcame every obstacle like a perfect team! And their perfect team was blessed with an addition, a baby boy, Izhaan Mirza Malik, hence completing their family!
While Sania Mirza’s sister, Anam Mirza is revisiting her mehendi day and sharing beautiful moments from one of the best days of her life, the tennis star also posted a throwback picture from the post-wedding celebration. Sania shared a solo picture on her IG feed from Anam’s post-wedding celebration, which was a cricket match between team bride v/s team groom. Sania had opted for a black tee which quoted ‘Love is never out of style’ and had paired it with denim. Due to the overnight lockdown imposed in the countries, Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik are lucky to be with their respective families in Hyderabad and Pakistan, but away from each other. In July 2020, Shoaib and Sania came together for a virtual date and during the IG LIVE session, the former had asked his wife how many kids she wants. When Shoaib asked Sania if she wants one or more kids, Sania replied, "Two, maybe. Even though you prefer one." To which, Shoaib probed, "Why not 5,6,7,8,9, 10?" Sania retorted, "Cricket team nahi banani. Aur bhi kaam hai."
On April 12, 2020, Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza completed a decade of their married life and to mark their 10th wedding anniversary, they had posted heartfelt wishes for each other on their respective social media handles. While Shoaib had captioned their couple picture as "Happy 10th anniversary @mirzasaniar #alhumdullilah", Sania had posted expectation v/s reality pictures and had captioned them as "Happy Anniversary @realshoaibmalik A decade of being married looks like this!! Expectation vs reality."
More than the thought of being with each other, Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik are clueless of when will their son, Izhaan Mirza Malik, who is staying with his amma will be able to meet his abba. While Shoaib, Sania and Izhaan were to reunite in July after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had allowed the cricketer to miss four weeks of training to be with his family, it further got extended due to the travel ban on international flights. And if the travel ban is further extended then Shoaib will have to travel to England without meeting Sania and Izhaan. In the conversation with The Indian Express on Facebook Live, Sania had talked about the situation of lockdown and was quoted as saying, “So he got stuck in Pakistan, I got stuck here. That was very difficult to deal with because we have a small child.
