Sania Mirza is a complete star in toto! From penning and sharing her pregnancy diaries with her fans, to playing tennis even during her pregnancy, we are sure that Sania must have given a zillion goals to millions! On October 30, 2018, Sania’s hubby, Shoaib Malik proudly announced the arrival of their ‘Baby Mirza Malik’ in their world. A tweet on his account read, “Excited to announce: Its a boy, and my girl is doing great and keeping strong as usual #Alhumdulilah. Thank you for the wishes and Duas, we are humbled #BabyMirzaMalik”. Here’s the tweet:
The next concern was getting to know the name of the star baby. And making sure that he doesn’t disappoint fans, Shoaib’s second tweet made us all go ‘awww’. Revealing the name of his baby boy, Shoaib tweeted, “Thank you from the bottom of our heart to everyone for the wishes from Sania and I, and our families. Our son’s name is Izhaan #BabyMirzaMalik”. Also, do you know what ‘Izhaan’ means? In Arabic, it means genius or obedience (to God). Wonderful, right?
Well, everybody has been waiting to catch a glimpse of Sania and shutterbugs did that for us. Sania was clicked with her newborn while she was leaving the Rainbow Children's Hospital and Birthright by Rainbow, stationed at Hyderabad's Banjara Hills locality. Sporting a loose cross-checked maxi dress with an orange shawl, and her baby cuddled in her arms in an orange-yellow-white blanket, the very first picture of Sania and baby Izhaan in one frame is a treat to the eyes! In an interview sometime back, Sania opened up at length about her pregnancy and stated, “While every woman’s body reacts differently to pregnancy, it’s unfair to think that you are handicapped for nine months. I’d recommend using this time to prepare your body for the changes that are going to happen in the following months. Begin by staying active and live a normal life; that’s what I did.” Sharing the best part about her pregnancy, she stated, “Now, I’m just giving my body the rest it needs and waking up whenever I feel like — usually between 9 am and 10 am — so that I feel refreshed. Since sleep at night is hard to come by, especially in the third trimester, there is no point in stressing yourself out in the morning.”
Now that the baby is here, how prepared are the two sportster parents to take care of their child? Sania opened up about the same in an interview and revealed, “I have already spent quite a few sleepless nights due to the discomforts I feel during the third trimester of pregnancy, though changing diapers may be a new chore which I am actually looking forward to!” She further stated, “I think motherhood prepares one automatically and very naturally for the most important phase in a woman’s life. A lot has changed in the last few months and I know a lot more will change in the coming days, but most of it has happened without me making too much of a conscious effort.”
Will Sania be back to tennis like ever before? Hear it from the star herself, “My goal is obviously to come back and that’s the most important thing. Of course, my kid is very important in my life right now, but after that, I would like to come back to playing because it’s an example I’d like to set for my kid as well that you don’t give up on your dreams just because you’re pregnant,” further adding, “I am young enough to come back and still play and be the best that I can be.” We are totally sure about that, Sania!
