Love knows no boundaries, and this is what one of the people’s favourite couples ace badminton player, Sania Mirza and former captain of Pakistan Cricket team, Shoaib Malik proves. One look at them together and we can say these two colossal athletes make a royal couple. Isn’t it? Theirs is a cross-border love story that sort of blurred the geographical lines between the two countries.
On April 12, 2010, Sania and Shoaib finally said qubool hai to each other. Theirs was completely a traditional Muslim wedding that took place in Hyderabad. Eight years after their blissful marriage, Sania and Shoaib surprised everyone when they announced that their first baby is coming in 2018. They announce this special and the happiest news in a very special manner. Sania and Shoaib took it to their Instagram and announced this good news with a cute picture, and wrote, “#BabyMirzaMalik”. Now that everyone knows Sania is expecting, people and all her fans are super-excited to keep seeing her pictures flaunting the baby bump. Initially, Sania and Shoaib didn’t reveal the news of the pregnancy, but people got a hint when Sania revealed their baby’s name. At the Goa Fest 2018, the super-fit mommy-to-be shared, “Today I will tell you a secret. My husband and I have spoken about it and we have decided that whenever we have a child, the child will have Mirza Malik as a surname and not just Malik. Long back in 2010, when the two tied the knot, people said they took a hasty decision. To this Sania was quoted as saying, "People can date a person for years but break up as soon as they get married. It happens a lot in Hyderabad, and it happens in the circles we move around in. Some people can date each other for a month and get married. I know many couples like that and they have kids today. Destiny! We were lucky we found each other, decided quickly and felt the same way about one another."
