Born as Fatima Rashid on June 1, 1929, Nargis Dutt, as her millions of fans know her, was a Bollywood actress and politician. Daughter of a Hindustani classical music singer, Jaddanbai, Nargis had made her Bollywood debut as a child artist with a minor role in the 1935 film, Talash-E-Haq, followed by her prominent role in the film, Tamanna (1942). The first Indian actress to win the prestigious Padma Shri, Nargis was known for her grace and an endearing screen presence. Be it any look, casual, traditional or formal, Nargis had pulled it off with equal panache and her shining, infectious smile.

Nargis Dutt was the happiest when she was with the man she loved, Sunil Dutt and he too, had loved her with all his heart. Sunil had shot to fame with the 1957 film, Mother India in which he had co-starred with Nargis, his then-future wife. Sunil is an inspiration for many and his journey with his wife, Nargis is an eternal story that proves true love exists. Nargis had succumbed to pancreatic cancer in 1981. Years after their demise, it is their son, Sanjay Dutt, who keeps his star parents alive in the hearts of their million fans by posting priceless pictures of Sunil and Nargis.

On Nargis' birth anniversary, Sanjay posted a couple of priceless pictures of his maa, from his archived album and captioned them as "There's nobody else like you. Happy Birthday, Ma." Sanjay's daughter, Trishala Dutt commented with an array of hearts on his post for Nargis.

Sometime back, Trishala was hit with nostalgia as she had watched the song on television and remembered her beautiful grandmother, Nargis. Expressing her love, Trishala had written, "I love my grandma" atop her IG story.

That wasn't the first time when Trishala Dutt had posted a 'miss you' or 'love you' note for her late grandparents. In January 2020, Trishala had posted a 'priceless' throwback picture with her 'dadaji', Sunil Dutt. Sharing the picture, Trishala had written, "#priceless Dadaji" followed by a heart emoji. To which, Sanjay Dutt's wife and Trishala's step-mom, Maanayata Dutt had commented with an array of heart emojis.
On Nargis' 40th death anniversary on May 3, 2021, Sanjay had posted a throwback childhood picture. In the picture, Sanjay was all smiles for the camera as his mother held him in her arms. Sanjay had captioned the post as "Not a day goes by when I don't miss you Ma!" To mark Sunil's 16th death anniversary, Sanjay posted a 'like father, like son' picture, in which they both sported suited-booted looks. Sanjay captioned his post as "A parent, an idol, a friend, a mentor - you were everything to me. Love you Dad, miss you."
On Guru Purnima 2020, Sanjay Dutt had dedicated a post for his first teachers i.e., his parents, Sunil Dutt and Nargis Dutt. He had captioned the post as "Even though my parents are not here with me today, but their blessings and teachings will always remain with me. They have been my very first teachers, guiding my every step in life. #HappyGuruPurnima to all."
