The news of Sanjay Dutt being diagnosed with lung cancer was all over the news last week. If the reports are to be believed, he may soon leave the country for his treatment. In such tough times, it is his wife, Maanyata Dutt, who has been standing by his side like a pillar of strength. Like she is standing beside him in their Ganesh puja. Check it out below!
On August 22, 2020, Sanjay Dutt shared a picture from his Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations with his beautiful wife, Maanayata. Sanjay expressed his sentiments in a heartfelt note which could be read as "The celebrations aren't as huge as they used to be every year but the faith in Bappa remains the same. I wish that this auspicious festival removes all the obstacles from our lives and bless us all with health and happiness. Ganpati Bappa Morya."
When Sanjay Dutt was diagnosed with lung cancer, he had refrained from giving any statements. But his pillar of strength, Maanayata had come forward to curb his fans' worries and thank his well-wishers. She had said in her statement, "I thank everyone who has expressed their well wishes for Sanju's speedy recovery. We need all the strength and prayers to overcome this phase. There is a lot that the family has gone through in the past years but I am confident this too shall pass."
She had concluded her statement by saying Sanjay Dutt is a fighter and he will emerge as a winner again. Her statement could be further read as "Sanju has always been a fighter, and so has our family. God has yet again chosen to test us to overcome the challenges ahead. All we seek is your prayers and blessings, and we know we will emerge as winners on the other side, as we always have. Let us use this opportunity to spread light and positivity." On August 18, 2020, Sanjay Dutt was spotted outside his home as he had left for Kokilaben hospital for his cancer treatment. Soon after, his wife, Maanayata had issued a statement which had said, "To all of Sanju's fans and well-wishers, I can't begin to thank you for the love and warmth you have shown him all these years. Sanju has been through many ups and downs in his life, but what has kept him going through every tough phase has always been your adulation and support. And for this, we will always be grateful. We are now being tested through yet another challenge, and I know, the same love and warmth will see him through this time as well."
She had also given details about Sanju's preliminary treatment and had requested everyone not to speculate the stage of his illness. She had said "For those asking, Sanju will complete his preliminary treatment in Mumbai. We will formulate further plans of travel depending on how and when the covid situation eases. As of now, Sanju is in the best hands of our esteemed doctors at Kokilaben hospital. I request everyone, with my folded hands, to stop speculating the stage of his illness and let the doctors continue to do their work. We will update you all regularly with his progress."
