Sanjay Leela Bhansali finally broke his silence on Sharmin Segal's acting skills in 'Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar' and revealed what she had told him.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Heeramandi has been making headlines since it was launched on the OTT giant, Netflix. The star-cast of this series, including Sonakshi Sinha, Manisha Koirala, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Taha Shah, and Richa Chadha, among others, left a lasting impression in the hearts of the cine lovers. Meanwhile, there has been a lot of gossip running around Sanjay Leela Bhansali's niece, Sharmin Segal's acting skills. For the unversed, Sharmin played the role of 'Alamzeb' in Heeramandi, and people tagged her acting mettle to be 'poor' and her expressions to be 'emotionless'.
As Sharmin Segal failed to impress the netizens with her acting skills, they targeted the director and questioned his decision to cast his niece. People also started bringing up the never-ending nepotism debate by being miffed with Sharmin's acting. Although, neither Shramin nor Sanjay Leela Bhansali opened up about the same, recently, the director talked about his niece's acting in his series.
