Sanjeeta Bhattacharya is one of the much-loved singers. The Grammy-nominated Indian singer recently made her Bollywood debut with Shah Rukh Khan's movie, Jawan. For those who don't know, Sanjeeta played the role of 'Helena' in the movie. As the nation is being caught up in Jawan mania, people have been eagerly waiting to hear unheard anecdotes from the movie and about SRK. Yet the same happened again, as Sanjeeta opened up about what exactly happened when she called SRK's senior character, 'Vikram Rathore' from the movie, 'uncle'.
In an interview with Indian Express, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya shared that although it's unusual for her, she was quite nervous before giving her shot in the film. The actress mentioned when she first delivered her line innocently, Shah Rukh told her that she had to mock him and be a little more cocky. Speaking more along the same lines, Sanjeeta stated that SRK actually guided her throughout the entire movie. The singer also talked about all of her friends' reactions to her calling SRK uncle. Sanjeeta mentioned:
"I delivered the line in an innocent way. Then Shah Rukh sir was like, ‘You have to mock me, be a little more cocky.’ He actually guided me, not just in this scene, but throughout the shoot. It was a cute thing to do but all my friends were like ‘Tune unko uncle kaise bola.'"

Sanjeeta said working with SRK was a lifetime opportunity, and added:
"He is very fatherly and made sure we felt equal on the set, and never put himself on a pedestal. He is so aware of all the love and adulation that’s showered on him but doesn’t let it go into his head. Working with SRK was such a huge lesson on humility and how one needs to treat their craft like craft, and not behave like a star. He is a master of his craft and to witness it in front of my eyes was just amazing. I hope it’s not a once in a lifetime opportunity and I get to work with him again."
Going further in the interview, Sanjeeta shared how she and Shah Rukh Khan bonded. The diva mentioned that although she was unaware of what to say to SRK on their first meeting, they later came to know that they grew up in the same area, Rajendra Nagar in Delhi.
"He asked me where I was from and I said Rajendra Nagar in Delhi, and he told me how he too grew up there."
