Yes, you read that absolutely right! Sara is currently in the seventh month of her pregnancy. For your kind information, Sara is married to life coach Arfeen Khan and the two got married long back in 2009. After ten years of their blissful wedded life, the couple is now expecting their first baby this year. And just like any other parents-to-be, Sara and Arfeen too are excitedly waiting to hold their little cotton ball in their hands.
Confirming the news to The Times of India, the Jamai Raja actress was quoted as saying, "The baby is due on July 8 and we are super excited. It doesn't matter if it's a girl or a boy. We are grateful to God for this beautiful gift, which has already changed our lives. It's a very personal matter and I had only shared it with very close friends and family. Besides, I have been in London since February." (Checkout: Madhuri Dixit Reveals How Her Kids React To The Movies She Has Done, Talks About Motherhood)
She further went on to share the feelings from her first few months of pregnancy. Sara retorted, "For the first few months, it was not sinking in that I'm going to be a mother. But now, it's finally sunk in, especially when I feel the baby move constantly. Nothing can match up to the feeling of my baby moving in my womb." She further added, "I think that names are the hardest to finalise. We are still working on it."
Do you know how these two cuties, Sara and Arfeen's love blossomed? Well, it was when Sara was really sick. Talking about the same, Arfeen had once told Deccan Chronicle, “Sara was really sick; so much so, that she had to be admitted to the hospital. When I went to meet her, I knew I was going to marry her, though we did take a lot of time to finally walk down the aisle.” (Also Read: Priyanka Chopra's Ex-Sis-In-Laws, Ishita Kumar And Kanika Mathur Have Both Become Friends Now)
On the other hand, Sara had retorted, “When we met, I observed how he conducts himself. He appeared very calm, which is very different from who I am, because I am a hyper person. We developed a friendship first, and I always noticed how he used to deal with day-to-day situations. Before I was admitted to the hospital, I knew he liked me a lot. In fact, it was mutual. One day I told him that he will marry me. He started laughing, but we all know how it ended. (Laughs)”
Further, the couple also revealed who confessed the feelings first. On this note, Sara had revealed, “Arfeen is weird but practical. My friend’s boyfriends always got them flowers and would say ‘I love you’ all the time. When Arfeen and I fought, he wouldn’t say anything. I knew he cared since he has always been there for me. I complained to him about why we don’t hold hands and he would ask, “Are you running away?” I have realised that one has to be consistent. Initially, everyone tries to impress their partner but eventually they stop doing that. So, it makes sense to be the person you are so that your partner can handle that 10 years later as well.” And Arfeen had gone to share, “It definitely wasn’t me. I’m not one of those guys — I show love, I don’t talk about it.”
Not just this, Sara also revealed if she ever felt like giving up on their relationship, “Before marriage, I did. I am a spontaneous person so when I decided to marry him, I wanted it to happen soon whereas this guy was taking his own sweet time. I assumed that he’s taking it easy because I was there with him. So, I walked away, for the fifth time. This time I thought it was over forever. Then I got a call from his twin sister asking me to meet him. This was the first time his family called me up in years.” (Do Check: Sonam Kapoor-Rhea Kapoor Give Bridesmaids Goals As They Attend A Cousin's Haldi, Pics Inside)
Revealing if their different religion was ever a hurdle between their relationship, Arfeen had remarked, “Her parents were very supportive. They never said anything to me about my religion. It could have got difficult from both sides. But Sara converted to Islam much before she knew we were getting married. She learnt Arabic and even read the Quran. She’s amazing, neither my parents nor I ever asked her to convert.” And, on the other hand, Sara had shared, “When I was in London for my education, I started researching in Islam. I started discussing things that I have learnt with Arfeen. He would also tell me a few such stories. That’s how I got inspired. I told my parents about it and it just happened.”
What a news! Sara and Arfeen, we are very happy for you two, and are eagerly waiting for July to come sooner. Till then, wishing Sara an easy-breezy pregnancy!
