It was on August 12, 1995, when Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh were blessed with a baby girl, whom they have named Sara Ali Khan. The baby had made them realise the feeling of parenthood, and despite their separation, Sara holds a special place in Saif and Amrita’s hearts. Amrita Singh had single-handedly raised her two kids, Sara and Ibrahim Ali Khan and her daughter, Sara has an undying love for her. Sara has always chosen her mother, Amrita Singh over everything else and this first-ever picture of baby Sara with mommy, Amrita proves they were in love at first sight.
It was Amrita Singh’s birthday on February 9, 2021, and her darling daughter, Sara had left nothing to express her love for her. From expressing her love in her IG post to sharing her journey with her mother till now with picture collages on her IG stories, Sara proudly declared that her mother is her world. Amidst her birthday wishes for her mother, we found a cutesy picture of baby Sara wrapped in a blue towel as Amrita Singh looked at her daughter with love in the hospital room. The picture looked straight after the delivery and it seemed that this was the first time that Amrita ji had gotten to meet her firstborn. In a throwback interview of Sara Ali Khan with Filmfare, the actress had talked about her family and choosing between mother, Amrita Singh and her father, Saif Ali Khan. When the actress was asked who she is closer to, her mother or her father, she had replied, “Mom. She’s my whole world. I can’t function without her. From should I wear this, how did you like the trailer, is this boy good enough...? Her opinion matters in everything. I’m a homely mother’s girl. Mom and I are hysterical together. When the actress was asked about the qualities that she has inherited from her parents, she had revealed that she has her father’s mind and her mother’s heart. Sara had revealed, “I have my father’s mind and my mother’s heart. That makes me a cool chick. What I don’t have, I will cultivate. If I can conduct myself with the intelligence, the worldliness and the knowledge with which my father does and if I can sleep the way mom sleeps, I’ll be good to go. She doesn’t have a single blob on her conscience. While I already have a couple of them. So I’ll have to work hard to be the way she is.”
Once Sara Ali Khan had penned down a poem for Amrita Singh with an array of pictures and had amazingly expressed what her mommy means to her. ‘Amrita ki beti’, Sara had written, "Mirror mirror- are you mommy or a reflection? The only difference between us- is I always want her attention. She, on the other hand, is full of love, hugs and affection. And undivided time and energy I sometimes forget to mention.
