Sara Ali Khan revealed that her GPay account is managed by her mom, Amrita Singh. Here's what she had to say about the same.
One of the biggest questions that comes to the minds of celebrity fans is who handles their massive finances. Sara Ali Khan was asked a similar question, and she revealed that her mommy dearest, Amrita Singh, manages her finances. The actress revealed that she goes according to the financial advice her mom gives.
During an interview with the Times Now Summit 2025, Sara was asked a question related to who handles her finances and helps her with investments. Sara shared that over time, she learnt that one should put small money in different sectors. Sara got this advise from her mom, Amrita, who handles her money. The Kedarnath actress shared:
"My mom handles my money entirely. Even my GPay account is linked to her… The OTPs come on her phone."
Sara was proud to say that her mom managed to control her finances. When the interviewer asked if she had cracked a joke, it looked like the actress was getting pocket money. Sara noted that she forgot her pocket money, and she could not even book a ticket without the OTP. Sara shared that her mom always knows where she is due to the OTPs that come on her mom's phone.
Sara is known to live a glamorous life on the big screen, but she is not at all extravagant. The actress also, in the same interview, shared that she related to her middle-class character as she was someone who was always told by her mom to spend money wisely. In the words of Sara:
"I am aware and mindful about where I spend my money. I don’t enjoy spending money frivolously. But yes, of course, I think a little bit of splurging, celebrating, if you want to, why not?"
She also shared that her motivation for being frugal came from her love for travel. Since she likes to travel, Sara always ensures that she saves up, and that is where she always puts in her money. She also believes in real estate, stock, and gold bond investments which is carefully handled by her mom.
When Sara and Vicky had once come on The Kapil Sharma Show for the promotion of Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, Vicky Kaushal shared she once scolded her mom for purchasing a towel worth Rs. 16,000. It is usually assumed that celebrities live life lavishly but Sara has proved that she is not at all afraid to let her mother manages her finances. Sara had really lost her mind on her mother and when she was asked to speak about the same she revealed:
"Arre, 1600 rupaiye ka toliya kaun kharidta hai? Vanity van mein muft ke 2-3 toliye taang ke rakhte hai ye log, unhi me se koi use kar lo."
