Sara Ali Khan has now entered the list of ‘celebrity trolls’ as one of her comments at the recently held 64th Filmfare Awards, landed her in trouble.

When the starlet was giving an interview to the media at the red carpet, she referred to Shah Rukh Khan as ‘uncle’. Sara Ali Khan said, "I remember when my father used to host the Filmfare with Shah Rukh uncle. I used to love it". And her one word was enough to leave all SRK fans fuming with anger.
Some Twitteratis, who were enraged by her statement said, “Let's put it this way, SRK Amitabh Bachchan Ko uncle Bolte to kaisa lagta? I am not saying Uncle bolna is disrespectful, but "Sir" is much better!”, “Even i'm furious at Sara Ali Khan and totally support people who trolled her. How could she call SRK uncle when he looks like a grandfather to her?”, “Rightly said. On professional platform she shud have addressed him as Sir or Mister or ji..u cant address smone as mama jija uncle aunty on such platforms. This hs nothing to do with his age.”
On the other hand, some supported her and found no such problem in her statement. They wrote, “Yes, and even SRK is about 5yrs older then Saif, so she will definitely call SRK Uncle, Sara had said nothing wrong”, “SRK very much calls him Amit uncle and Jaya as Jaya aunty. Do you remember sometime back, Current Textiles Minister and former HRD Minister, Smriti Irani shared a Boomerang on her Instagram handle with Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter, Janhvi Kapoor. Janhvi, who also made her debut in 2018 with Dhadak, had also referred to Smriti as ‘aunty’ and the latter’s reaction to it was hilarious. Smriti captioned the Boomerang as, "The someone shoot me” moment —When #jahnvikapoor sweetly apologises for continuously calling you aunty and you say “koi baat nahi beta “ #totalsiyapa, ye Aaj kal ke bachche #auntykiskobola."
Coming back to Shah Rukh Khan and Sara Ali Khan, the latter’s father, Saif Ali Khan had worked with SRK in Kal Ho Na Ho and the two have hosted many awards shows together. And there was a moment when Saif felt insecure on the sets because of Shah Rukh. In an unseen clips’ episode of Koffee With Karan season 6, Saif said to Karan Johar, "You made me insecure once. We were doing Kal Ho Na Ho and you said I want you to act like Shah Rukh and I said.. Oh no... Am I not good enough as myself."
