Sara Ali Khan recalled the sweet summer times in London when her parents, Amrita Singh and Saif Ali Khan were married to one another.
Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh's daughter, Sara Ali Khan made herself established as one of the famous actresses in Bollywood. Sara made her debut in Bollywood with the movie, Kedarnath in 2018, and since then, there has been no looking back for the actress. Some of her most notable works include, Simmba, Love Aaj Kal, Coolie No. 1, Murder Mubarak, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, Gaslight, and Atrangi Re, among so many others. Sara has some big movies for the next release. Well, in a recent interview, Sara walked down memory lane and recalled the family holidays before her parents called their marriage quits.
For the unversed, Amrita Singh got married to Saif Ali Khan in 1991, and it was in 2004, when the couple called it quits. Saif and Amrita have two kids, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan. Well, talking to NDTV, Sara recently mentioned that her father, mom, and brother love London. Recalling her childhood memories before her parents' separation, Sara shared that when her parents were married, their summer holidays used to be in London for 45 days. The actress further stated that she has a whole lot of childhood memories in the Pataudi palace, and her Diwali, Christmas, and New Year celebrations used to be there only. Sharing that she couldn't be there much after growing up, Sara stated:
"My brother and mother, they love London and so does my father. When my parents were married, our summer holidays was always forty five days in London. I have a lot of childhood memories in Pataudi. I haven’t been there as much since I have grown up, but Christmas, New Year and Diwali used to be there."
For a kid, nothing can be tougher than to witness his/her parents' divorce. Well, Sara, in an interview with Bazaar India, stated that it was not that difficult for her as she could see both her parents being happy independently. The actress mentioned that her mom was open, making jokes and laughing. Sara stated that these things were missing, and her mom was back in her form again after separating from Saif, and thus, it was only a joyful relief. In Sara's words:
"I don’t think that was difficult at all. They’re both infinitely happier and in a much more positive space today. I see my mom laughing, joking, and being silly, which I have missed for many years. It’s a joyful relief to see her like this again.”
Going further in the interview, Sara Ali Khan said that she had matured more than her age from the beginning, and even at the age of 9, she could see that when her parents were together at the same home, they weren't happy, while living differently brought them that happiness. The actress added that she was just at peace with both her parents being happy be it in different homes.
After parting ways with Amrita Singh, Saif Ali Khan found solace in the arms of Kareena Kapoor. The couple dated for a while before tying the knot in 2012. Moreover, Saif and Kareena are hailed as one of the power couples of Bollywood as of now. The duo is parents to two adorable kids, Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan.
