Sara Ali Khan talked about the contrasts between her real and reel character, 'Rinku' from, 'Atrangi Re'. She shared how her life is different from Rinku even though she comes from a broken family.
Sara Ali Khan is one of the new generation actresses who has etched a special place in everyone's hearts with just a number of films. Daughter to actress, Amrita Singh and her ex-husband, Saif Ali Khan, Sara had followed her parents' footsteps and had made her Bollywood debut with the film, Kedarnath.
Sara Ali Khan was recently seen in the OTT-released film, Atrangi Re opposite Dhanush and Akshay Kumar. For the unversed, it is the most-watched film on Disney Plus Hotstar on the first day of its release. Beating movies like Dil Bechara, Hungama 2, Laxmii and many more, Sara's film received rave reviews from the audiences and is heading towards becoming one of the finest films of the year 2021. In a recent interview, Sara revealed the similarities and differences she shares with her on-screen character, 'Rinku'.

When Sara Ali Khan was 9-years old and her brother, Ibrahim Ali Khan, was even younger, their parents, Amrita Singh and Saif Ali Khan had decided to part their ways. In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, the actress revealed how different her life and her character, 'Rinku's life is. She said:
"I honestly think that Rinku and I have very different lives. I have a very supportive family, whether I come from a broken home or not. I think, more than a broken home, I come from two homes. I don't really carry the burden of loneliness. I have a lot of support from my mother and my father toh kabhi bagawat ka mauka ya kaaran nahi mila mujhe."
Going further in the conversation, Sara Ali Khan shared that she and Rinku are two vulnerable persons, and that is what has connected them in the film. She even mentioned that 'Rinku' and Sara both of them react to any serious situation with humour. In her words:
"I think the fact that we are both ultimately vulnerable people that hide our vulnerability in the guise of confidence is something that I find similar. I don't think that is necessarily the lack of family support."

In an interview with India Today, Sara Ali Khan had opened up about her mother, Amrita Singh and her father, Saif Ali Khan's reaction to her film, Atrangi Re. The actress had revealed that while on one side, her mom is a very emotional person, on the other side, her dad is a sophisticated gentleman. However, they both had cried after watching Atrangi Re and were incredibly proud of her. Revealing the kind of accomplishment that she had achieved, after making her parents proud, Sara had said:
"Atrangi Re is not a good film to ask this question because they have both been very nice. I think mom is very emotional and will always be. And, my father is a very strong and sophisticated gentleman. But I do know that I have made both mom and dad cry. It is weird to feel that sense of accomplishment that your parents are proud of you."
Saif Ali Khan had worked in the movie, Love Aaj Kal and his daughter, Sara, had worked in the sequel of the film with the same title. When the trailer of the sequel was released, Saif had confessed that he had liked his movie's trailer more. In an interview with the Mumbai Mirror, Sara had replied on the same and had stated:
"We are all protective and possessive about our work. I am proud that my father too, is as proud of his creations as mine."
On the professional front, Sara is currently shooting for her next untitled film with Vicky Kaushal.
