Saumya and her husband, Saurabh Devendra Singh were blessed with a boy on January 14, 2019. In an interview, the actress had talked about embracing the journey, and had shared, “It's finally happening. I am pregnant. It has been an overwhelming ride and I think that it will be fascinating, with its ups and downs. I feel like I am walking on the moon on some days, and scared and nervous on the rest. It's magical what my body can do - create a new life. I feel empowered and beautiful these days.”
Currently, the actress is back to her fitness routine to get back in shape. While she strongly believes that every woman must strive to stay fit and exercise post-pregnancy, this has sparked a lot of trolls against her. There were a huge amount of online users, who trolled her for joining workout in just two-months of her delivery. It all started with when Saumya posted a workout video on her official instagram handle, and captioned it as, “Ok here I take my baby steps towards fitness. Starting with strengthening the core and tightening my stomach muscles. I know it’s a long and arduous journey and here i begin. #postnatalfitness #pilates”.

Saumya, who had conducted a social media contest to choose her baby’s name, talked about the same in an interaction with Hindustan Times. She had said, “Honestly, I didn’t think of having a contest on social media but it so happened that when my son was born, my husband and I were not prepared for the delivery. After a check-up, the doctor said that I had to be admitted immediately. Later, when I shared the news about the birth of my baby, everyone was asking about the name. And my reply was, ‘why don’t you suggest a name?” (Also Read: Shilpa Shetty Kundra's Sisters-In-Law Leave Her Teary Eyed When They Reveal How Proud They're Of Her)
She had further added, “The name suggested by a lady from Singapore was Miran, it was a girl’s name so I added an extra ‘a’ to it. It’s a Persian word and means king of kings. Finally, we registered the name as Miraan Tandon Singh. Many suggested Shaurya as well which is a combination of my name and my husband’s name Saurabh. But I wanted a unique name so Miraan it is.”
Earlier, in an interview, Saumya had talked about her post-pregnancy work plans, and had stated, “I know there will be a lot of questions about my work plan, but there is a place and right time for those answers, right now it is about celebrating and taking all your good wishes for me. Of course, I plan to continue working and acting as long as I live. Hate to give this explanation though, I don’t think being a mother makes any woman hold back her passion, dream or work, it only empowers her more. What I can assure everyone is that I will keep on trying to the raise the bar for myself and hopefully to not disappoint the viewers with my work.” (Don't Miss: Vikrant Massey's Muse, Sheetal Thakur Posts A Heartfelt Birthday Wish For The 'Light Of Her Life')
