Selena Gomez recently released her song, 'Single Soon'. In a latest interview, she revealed what are some of the ideal standards, which a man should possess to date her.
Selena Gomez is soaring high with her latest single, Single Soon. The song is all about being comfortable in your skin, and the 31-year-old singer, too, is following the same mantra. Selena has been single for quite some time now and is enjoying her time off from the dating scenario.
Although there have been quite a few speculations regarding Selena’s dating life, but those were just rumours, and there has been no confirmation from the singer or the other party. Selena recently opened up about her dating requirements while promoting her latest song, Single Soon.

Selena Gomez appears to be embracing her single status but hasn't stopped considering her future possibilities. During an interview with SiriusXM Hits 1 LA with Tony Fly and Symon, the singer of Single Soon discussed the qualities a person would need to have to date her when she was asked about the line in the song that refers to her as ‘a little high-maintenance’. She said:
“I think I have standards. And I think I live in a world right now where boys confuse standards with high-maintenance. It really isn’t [the same thing]. But the line was really fun because I’m not ashamed to say, ‘I actually require x, y, and z for you to be with me.’ So, in a way, it was just meant to be for the attitude of the song. And that’s genuinely how I feel.”

Selena’s latest song is all about moving on from a past relationship. She explained in the same interview that Single Soon is about looking forward to the end of a relationship. It’s a peppy dance number to celebrate being comfortable in your skin. The music video features the singer enjoying a night out with her single friends, which accurately reflects her real-life girls' nights out. She said:
"It's so much fun. I mean, you know, my friends will just pick (me) up and wanna go somewhere. We'll take an hour and a half drive out of the city, and then we'll end up, you know, staying at a place, and meeting new people and going out to eat. I'm so enjoying my 30s, so I feel lovely."

The singer-actress, Selena Gomez, shared that she has embraced being single. If and when she meets a partner, they will add to her life rather than fill her insecurities. Selena said:
"I think everybody goes through the phase of, 'Oh, it'd be nice to like have someone,' and I get that. But you know, I'm just enjoying where I'm at, and I just want to be happy with who I am so that whenever that person comes into my life, I can just have them add on to me instead of being this insecure, you know, person that I normally used to be."
Selena Gomez was in an on-and-off relationship with Justin Bieber before he got married to Hailey Bieber. Since her breakup with Justin, she has been linked with Zedd, Charlie Puth, The Weeknd, Drew Taggart and most recently Zayn Malik. In the same interview, Selena Gomez talked about the traits she will look for in a man as and when she decides to get back into the dating arena. She said:
"You gotta be cool, man. Not cool in the sense that people think you're cool. You just gotta be nice and like, please make me laugh and also just be good to my family and people around you."
