A senior journalist recently talked about Jaya Bachchan's negative public image and revealed if the actress always maintains her angry demeanour.
Jaya Bachchan is known for her bitter-sweet relationship with the paps. The actress began her career with the film, Mahanagar and then continued to work on some blockbuster movies in the Hindi film industry. Apart from being an actress, she is also an MP for the Samajwadi Party and a family woman. Well, time and again, she has grabbed the limelight for her angry reaction to the paps. Recently, a senior journalist shed light upon Jaya Bachchan's personality and revealed if she remains in a bitter mood always and talked about her negative public image.
As per a recent report by the Indian Express, a senior journalist, Bhawana Somaaya, was asked about Jaya Bachchan's negative public image on a recent podcast. Talking about the same, Bhawana shared that everyone, including Jaya Bachchan is extremely warm towards others, and she talks very nicely. The journalist recalled a time when a pap flashed the camera into Jaya's eyes, which led her to react, which was later blown out of proportion. Blaming the media and paps as a reason for Jaya's negative public image, the journalist said:
"Everyone is normal and they speak nicely only, Jayaji is also very warm and nice, she is very sensitive. Once when the camera was flashing in her eye, I saw it was the photographer’s mistake. Now, if you react a certain way and it gets blown out of proportion then it is in nobody’s control. It has become a game for the media, the paparazzi, whether it is Uorfi Javed or anybody else.”
In the same podcast, the journalist added that Jaya Bachchan has her own personality, and she used to meet the actress when Amitabh Bachchan was not in touch with the media that much. Bhawana shared be it any situation, if Jaya Bachchan likes someone, she will surely talk nicely to that person, and if it's the opposite, she will not even try to recognise that person. In the journalist's words:
"Jayaji has her personality, when Amitabh Bachchan wasn’t talking to the media that time we used to meet a lot. Like when Smita Patil was hospitalised, or at Prithvi Theater or I had gone on Pukaar shooting. Her treatment is individual, what ban has been imposed by her husband does not make a difference to her. If she likes you she will talk to you nicely, she does not even remember if you are a journalist or whoever. From then to now, it’s been like that only with me.”
Earlier, in an interview with the Hindi Rush, a famous pap, Manav Manglani was asked why Jaya Bachchan often remains irritated with the shutterbugs. To this, the pap shared that in the early days of her career, the actress was not that habituated to so much media. Manav further stated that Jaya has no issues with the paps if they appear in any event or capture her during a movie premiere or something like that, but the actress gets irritated when the shutterbugs catch her off guard, which hinders her from spending private time. The shutterbug further added that Jaya Bachchan has her own funda, and she can be very sweet as well, as she even suggests camera angles to the paps.
Time and again, Jaya Bachchan grabbed the headlines with her fights with the paps. Well, last year, Navya dropped a sweet photo of her grandmother with a witty caption, through which she took a dig at Jaya being angry with the paps always. In the photo, Jaya was seen laughing as Navya clicked her candid photo. Sharing the pic, Navya mentioned that her grandmom 'finally smiled for the paps'.
