If today’s report in Delhi Times is to be believed, then our ‘Singh is King’ IPL star Harbhajan Singh is all set to marry the Bollywood diva Geeta Basra in September 2012. Geeta Basra had earlier this year told in a media interview that she had no plans of marrying. However, sources close to both Bhajji and Basra say that a September wedding is very much on the cards.
The wedding celebrations will span two countries, indeed two continents. The mehendi, sangeet and other marriage ceremonies will take place in Yorkshire, England (Geeta’s Hometown). After the wedding, the couple will fly to Chandigarh with its entourage for a big, lavish reception. Bhajji’s ‘Balle Balle Yorkshire to Chandigarh’ wedding is bound to be a fun-filled gala affair which will have celebrities from the world of cricket and Bollywood.
The IPL might have ended on a grim note for the Harbhajan Singh and Mumbai Indians, who lost the crucial match against Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 5 play off. But the news of Harbhajan’s upcoming nuptial has his family, friends and fans all happy and excited.
