But not many know that celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan lived in a normal home before moving into his dream home, the six-storey high luxurious home, Mannat. The multi-storeyed building is beautifully designed by Shah Rukh's wife, Gauri. The actor had worked super hard to buy the place for his family, and it was in 2001 when he had signed the papers of Mannat. For the unversed, Shah Rukh's home reportedly now costs around Rs. 200 crores.

But it is all true, and his first home in Mumbai talks about the humble background he comes from. On October 25, 1991, Shah Rukh Khan had tied the knot with Gauri Khan. After which, they shifted their base to Mumbai.

Shah Rukh Khan had shared the pictures of his home on a chat show hosted by Simmi Garewal. Their first sea-facing home in Mumbai was all about the simple and minimalistic decor. It was a 3 BHK apartment in a building named, Shree Amrit A. The living room was decked with a simple black leather sofa.

Shah Rukh's first home's dining room featured a straight-cut wooden dining table for four. It also had a wooden book rack and beautiful vases that added to the beauty of their home. It seems like Gauri made sure to keep her home minimalistic yet trendy.

Shah Rukh and Gauri embraced their parenthood journey in this very home. On November 13, 1997, the duo welcomed their first son, Aryan Khan. In the year 2001, the couple shifted their base to Mannat, which was named, Villa Vienna back then. According to a report in 2013, Shah Rukh had put his first home on rent, and the families in Mumbai get excited at the thought of living in a home owned by SRK.
