Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan are not just names, they are what everyone calls ‘true love’. Belonging to Delhi, Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri had met each other in a party in 1988, and the Cupid had struck them with love. Shah Rukh had madly fallen in love with Gauri, enough that he had followed her to Mumbai, even without knowing her whereabouts. However, SRK had proved his love for Gauri as he had found her, while looking for her on the seashores of Mumbai, and rest as they say is history.

Yes, it was Hema Malini, who had ruined the wedding night of Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan and we are sure the couple would remember this till their last breath. It had happened that Shah Rukh Khan was shooting for the movie, Dil Aashna Hai, which was was Hema's first directorial debut when he had gotten married. It was SRK’s struggling days and signing a movie was a big thing for him. On their wedding day, Hema had called SRK and had asked him to visit the sets for shoot if he wants to meet her, and he had taken his newly wedded wife, Gauri along with him. What had followed had certainly become a golden memory for the couple!
SRK and Gauri had reached the set, but Hema Malini was not present there, and the newly wedded couple was told that she would reach soon. Around 11 PM, Shah Rukh had started shooting for the film, leaving Gauri in the makeup room. The shoot had continued till 2 AM, but the veteran actress had not come to visit the sets. After the shoot, when SRK had returned to his makeup room, Gauri was sleeping on an iron chair, wearing her saree, heavy jewellery and choodha as she had gone with him, straight from their wedding. The room was filled with mosquitoes, biting Gauri and this had made SRK sad and tears had rolled out of his eyes.

Shah Rukh Khan never fails to showcase his candid love for Gauri Khan publicly. At an award show, which was hosted by Vicky Kaushal, the Uri actor had showed Shah Rukh Khan a throwback picture of himself with Gauri Khan and had asked the Badshaah of Bollywood about the picture. Shah Rukh Khan had revealed, “This is my favourite picture...When I got married, I was very poor while Gauri was middle-class, well-to-do. So like how usually everyone does, I had promised her that after we get married, 'I'll take you to Paris and show you the Eiffel Tower'. But obviously, it was all a lie because neither I had the money nor I had the air tickets but somehow I convinced her.” This is the picture which Vicky Kaushal had showed to Shah Rukh Khan!
