Shah Rukh Khan Compares Himself With MS Dhoni As He Shares His Retirement Plans, 'Na Na Karke Bhi..'

Shah Rukh Khan compared himself with MS Dhoni when Karan Johar asked him about his retirement plans at the IIFA.

Shah Rukh Khan, also known as King Khan, is the epitome of success in Bollywood. His magnetic charm and the way he breathes life into diverse characters on screen have endeared him to fans not just in India but across the globe. Unlike many of his peers, Shah Rukh attributes his stardom to his relentless hard work. This year, SRK made a comeback as a host at the IIFA and then talked about his retirement plans.

Shah Rukh Khan is still ruling Bollywood at the age of 58 and delivering one after another hit films. King Khan hosted IIFA this year, and on the stage, his dear friend and ace filmmaker, Karan Johar, asked him about his retirement plans. Talking about it, SRK compared himself with cricket legend, MS Dhoni and said:

“Iss mamle mein main Dhoni jaisa hoon, hum na na karke bhi 10 IPL khel jaate hain.”

To this, the entire crown cheered for Shah Rukh Khan and even their co-host, Vicky Kaushal, quipped that retirements are for legends and that SRK is a king and he is eternal. In Vicky Kaushal's language:

“Retirement is for legends, but Kings are eternal.”

Shah Rukh Khan bagged the Best Actor award for Jawan at IIFA

Shah Rukh Khan's win at IIFA 2024 for his unique portrayal in Jawan was a standout moment, showcasing his versatility as an actor. His thrilling performance, alongside Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi, earned him the Best Actor award in a leading role. Shah Rukh Khan's dual roles of 'Captain Vikram Rathore' and 'Azad' in the masala entertainer which also marked filmmaker, Atlee's Bollywood debut.

Shah Rukh Khan's professional front 

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki, co-starring Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, and more. The actor's next project, King, directed by Sujoy Ghosh, is highly anticipated. Reportedly, his daughter, Suhana Khan, will also be part of the film, adding to the excitement.
