Recently, Shah Rukh Khan was seen giving Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor marital advice in a new ad. But there's a twist: they each donned one of their most iconic characters!
In a hilarious collaboration, Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, and Alia Bhatt graced our screens not as themselves but as some of their most iconic characters. In the latest ad for Rungta TMT Bar, SRK donned his therapist avatar, 'Dr Jehangir Khan' from Dear Zindagi, Alia reprised her iconic character, 'Safeena' from Gully Boy, and Ranbir adopted his role as 'Bunny' from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. Hilariously, the concept of the ad revolved around Shah Rukh advising the married couple, Alia and Ranbir, on their relationship.
In the latest Rungta TMT Bar ad, Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt, and Ranbir Kapoor united, donning some of their iconic avatars for a third time. For the unversed, Rungta has released two such ads of the trio previously. The first featured their beloved characters from the films, Raees, Gangubai Kathiawadi, and Rockstar. And the second had them reprise their much-remembered roles from the movies, Jawan, Student Of The Year, and Barfi.
The new ad featured Shah Rukh as 'Dr Jehangir Khan,' Alia as 'Safeena,' and Ranbir as 'Bunny.' In it, Shahrukh hilariously offered Alia and Ranbir marital advice while in therapist mode. When the former asked the couple how their marriage was going, 'Safeena' immediately chimed in and stopped 'Bunny' from answering. She said:
“Main bataayegi. Ice bola tha laane ko, Ladakh chala gaya. Pucha phone pe, ‘Itna busy, busy kyu hai?’ toh kya bola tu? Haan, ‘Mountains were calling. Itna pahado ke sath gulu gulu karega toh thoptungi na isko."
Alia Bhatt wasn't the only one to make a call back to one of her iconic dialogues. Ranbir chimed in with one of his most relatable lines from the film, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, saying:
"Dr Jehangir, mai udna chahta hu, daudna chahta hu, bas iss ghar mein rukna nahi chahta."
Upon hearing the same, a curious SRK couldn't help but ask 'Bunny,' 'kyun.' And 'Bunny's' response is sure to have left viewers in splits of laughter as he said, "Uss din sunset dekhne chajje pe chada, toot gaya. I don't feel safe." 'Safeena', known for speaking her mind, clapped back at him with, "Haan toh kisne bola ghar ke deewaron pe rock climbing karne ko?"
As 'Bunny' started to tell her not to be disrespectful, 'Dr Jehangir' interrupted and broke up the fight. In his therapist avatar, Shah Rukh pulled a Rungta Steel TMT bar from behind a wall and quipped:
"Mere paas tum dono ki problem ka medicine hai. Isko ghar mein lagaoge toh shaadi ka toh pata nahi but ghar pakka nahi tutega."
