Right from the moment a child is conceived, their happiness and needs are the priorities of the parents. But as we grow up and get busy with our lives, we often forget to put our parents as our priority. But no matter what, they will always be the greatest gift to us and even though we won’t express it as much as we should, deep inside our heart we love them to the moon and back. Shah Rukh Khan, who lost his parents at a young age, has often spoken about the importance of a mother and a father in one’s life and how his life is incomplete without them. He believes that it was his parents’ moral lessons that shaped him into the man he is today. (Also Read: When Newly-Weds Shah Rukh Khan And Gauri Khan Had Posed With His Sister, Mrs Khan Flaunted Chooda)

Shah Rukh Khan is a sensation and rightfully so! Born in 1965 to Meer Taj Mohammed Khan and Lateef Fatima Khan, Shah Rukh had a simple upbringing in Delhi and despite the financial troubles, his parents had provided him with everything they could, most importantly the lessons of life. Over the years, Shah Rukh had won our hearts by not only being the ultimate lover in the history of Hindi cinema but also as a hardworking superstar, a dynamic orator, a family man through and through, the wittiest man in the room and his simplicity. Shah Rukh had lost his father to cancer in 1981 and his mother passed away in 1991. In 2016, Shah Rukh had posted a collage with his father and his sons’ pictures in a frame and it had spoken volumes about his emotions as a father and a son. In a throwback interview with The Times Of India, Shah Rukh Khan had spoken about visiting his late parents’ graveyard in Delhi and the fond memories he has with Delhi. Revealing why Delhi can never go out of him, Shah Rukh had said, “Whenever I sit on a plane to come to Delhi, be it for a day or for a couple of hours, the one thought I have is that my mother and father are here. I go and visit them at the graveyard late in the night. People often tell me that I have become a Mumbaikar but I don’t know how to express but Delhi can never go out of me because my parents are here and that is the biggest memory for me.” (Also Read: Gauri Khan's Throwback Picture With Shah Rukh Khan From A Premier Is A Priceless 'Flashback' Moment)

As a father of three children, Aryan Khan, Suhana Khan and AbRam Khan, Shah Rukh Khan wants to secure the sanctity of their childhood and he had expressed the same in his tweet in 2017. Shah Rukh had tweeted, “19Sept. Like my dad (RIP), my only duty 2 my kids is 2 delay the onset of their adulthood as much as possible. Retain purity of their childhood.” Speaking about how one remembers the teachings of one’s parents only when they are gone, Shah Rukh had said in an interview with the Hindustan Times, “The story inheritably gives a lot of morals. I personally don’t look for morals in a movie and enjoy it as pure entertainment. It is inheritably entertaining because it does talk about relationships. Many times, when kids are growing with their parents, they don’t realise that what their parents say could actually come handy much later on. It’s unfortunate that you remember the teachings of your parents when they are not in your life.”

Shah Rukh Khan believes that it is never a bad thing to listen to one’s parents as their teachings never fail one in life. He had said, “Somewhere down the line, the story reflects that it’s nicer to listen to your parents and understand the deeper meaning of what they are saying to you. It does teach you that – Our parents always live within us and their teachings never go away. Personally, I do feel the same, the small things that my father and mother said actually define me now, and I realise it now and I didn’t realise it then.” (Also Read: Aryan Khan Fixing His Hair At IPL Auction 2021 Reminds Netizens Of His Father Shah Rukh Khan [VIDEO])
