We live in a world, where your every action and gesture is judged. You are trolled despite being right because people often find flaws in everything, and same had happened with Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter, Suhana Khan, who is trolled since the age of 12 for being ugly. The darling daughter of SRK is strong just like her daddy as rather staying silent, she had chosen to speak up and shut everyone with her ‘End colourism’ post on her IG handle. (Also Read: Rana Daggubati Opens Up On His Love Story With Miheeka Bajaj, Reveals How He Had Met Her)

However, the trollers didn't let her go easily as they had started trolling her father, Shah Rukh Khan for promoting the fairness cream brand. After maintaining silence over the matter, the father and daughter duo was spotted at KKR’s match on October 7, 2020. Before we take you into the ‘end colourism’ trolling of Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan, let’s take a look at their KKR’s match appearance.

Shah Rukh Khan ensures to visit the stadium when his team KKR is on the playground and support his team. As it was KKR playing on the field, SRK was there to support his team with his daughter, Suhana. The father and daughter duo could be seen twinning in white KKR t-shirts and denims. While Suhana was wearing KKR’s face mask, SRK was sporting his beanie cap. SRK and Suhana could be seen maintaining social distance. Take a look:

Coming back to the ‘end colourism’ trolling that had happened a few days back. It had started with Suhana’s post about how she has been called ugly, kaali and whatnot since the age of 12. Taking to her IG handle, Suhana had shared a series of screenshots of the nasty comments she had received for her complexion. She had begun her powerful note with “There's a lot going on right now and this is one of the issues we need to fix!! this isn't just about me, it's about every young girl/boy who has grown up feeling inferior for absolutely no reason. Here are just a few of the comments made about my appearance. I've been told I'm ugly because of my skin tone, by full grown men and women, since I was 12 years old.”

Speaking about the notions of beauty that social media and matchmaking sites have convinced people to believe and that she is happy to be 5'3 and brown, Suhana Khan had ended her note with the hashtag, #EndColourism, “Other than the fact that these are actual adults, what's sad is that we are all Indian, which automatically makes us brown - yes we come in different shades but no matter how much you try to distance yourself from the melanin, you just can't. Hating on your own people just means that you are painfully insecure. I'm sorry if social media, Indian matchmaking or even your own families have convinced you, that if you're not 5"7 and fair you're not beautiful. I hope it helps to know that I'm 5"3 and brown and I am extremely happy about it and you should be too. #endcolourism.” (Don't Miss: Natasa Stankovic Enjoys Some Self-Pampering Time As Her Baby Agastya Takes His Afternoon Nap)

Though people had lauded her for her strong statement, it had also triggered new trolls which had involved her superstar father, Shah Rukh Khan. Netizens had called Suhana Khan’s post, a height of hypocrisy as while she had penned a long note emphasising to end colourism, her father Shah Rukh endorses a fairness cream. A Twitterati had pointed, “While I wholeheartedly agree with what #SuhanaKhan has said, #EndColourism should start from home. You can't complain to the society about the obsession your dad has been promoting for years!! If this doesn't expose the morals, or the lack thereof, in the film industry!!” Another user had written, “Well said #SuhanaKhan Dark skin is not a badge of shame but rather a glorious masterpiece ..but shouldn't u be penning a note to your dad too to #EndColourism..coz he is the one promoting skin whiteners. To hell with such colour prejudices. So practice what you preach.” (Recommended Read: Mohena Kumari Singh Shares A Cute Picture With Her Hubby, Suyesh Rawat From Their Mussoorie Trip)
