Shah Rukh Khan is speculated to invest a whopping amount of Rs. 200 crore for his first film alongside daughter, Suhana Khan, titled 'King'.
Shah Rukh Khan collaborating with his daughter, Suhana Khan for their first film together, is a speculation that has intrigued ardent fans of the actor, who cannot wait to witness the daddy-daughter duo. For the unversed, Suhana, who made her debut last year with the film, The Archies has speculated to have been roped in for a film by Sujoy Ghosh, tentatively named as King. It will also feature her father, SRK in a pivotal role. And now, recent speculations suggest a generous gesture that the former has made for the same.
According to a recent report in Bollywood Hungama, Shah Rukh Khan is set to collaborate with his daughter, Suhana Khan for the first time on the celluloid. Their film together, titled as King will be helmed by filmmaker, Sujoy Ghosh and is eyeing a tentative 2025 release. The film will also be joined by the genius of Siddharth Anand, known for films like War, Pathan, Fighter who will be incorporating an unprecedented and high octane kick to the film, making it a global action film. Moreover, if reports are to be believed, Shah Rukh Khan, under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment will be investing a whopping Rs. 200 crore for the project, which is on the pre-production stage at the moment. A source close to the actor further added:
“King is an ambitious action film, unlike anyone’s imagination. The team has been working on the pre-production for the last one year to ensure that all aspects are covered in the right way – from script, to scale and action. Red Chillies Entertainment has always mounted world-class products and King will be no different as the banner is going all out to ensure a grand debut for Suhana Khan.”

Previously, another report by the FirstPost revealed that Shah Rukh Khan had apparently withdrawn from his first project with his daughter, Suhana Khan. The reason behind such a decision was cited as the superstar’s consideration to prevent Suhana being burdened of unfavourable comparisons with her father. However, it is noteworthy how none of such speculations have ever been confirmed by Shah Rukh Khan or Suhana Khan.
Back during his win at the Zee Cine Awards 2024, Shah Rukh Khan grabbed spotlight with his acceptance speech, that reflected the unparalleled love he shares for his three kids, Aryan Khan, Suhana Khan and AbRam Khan. The actor took to the mic and spoke out a reframed version of his dialogue from his film, Jawan and said:
“This message goes out to my children and my wife ki jab tak tumhara baap zinda hain, entertainment is alive."

In a previous interaction with The Vogue, Suhana Khan talked about how she navigates the enormous stardom enjoyed by her father, Shah Rukh Khan, and the fact that she often gets identified for being his daughter. On the contrary, Suhana remarked she hated the attention she received in this manner. Moreover, she recalled how right from her childhood, she witnessed the enormous fan following her dad enjoys. In her words:
“I realised quite early on that it was different for us. But I never really thought about my dad being famous. When I was about five, he would come and drop me to school, and people would point and stare. He wasn’t being addressed as Suhana’s dad, which is what I wanted. It confused me. I hated the attention. It made me very self-conscious.”
