Television's handsome hunk, Shaheer Sheikh had announced his hush-hush wedding with the Creative Producer and Executive Vice President at Balaji, Ruchikaa Kapoor, on November 27, 2020. Shaheer and Ruchikaa had kept their relationship under wraps for the longest time and had made their relationship official a few days before their marriage.

Shaheer Sheikh had announced his wedding on his IG handle by sharing a loving picture with his wifey and had written, "Zindagi khatm bhi ho jaaye agar... Na kabhi khatm ho ulfat ka safar. #chaloDildarChalo #ikigai." Ever since then, the beautiful couple often gives glimpses of their married life on their respective IG handles.

The picture featured Shaheer and Ruchikaa sitting together as the doting wifey held her hubby's arm. Alongside the picture, Shaheer wrote, "6 months and counting #togetherness."
In an interview with SpotboyE, Shaheer had talked about why he had opted for a court marriage. The actor had shared that he doesn't even like to celebrate his birthday as he is a very private person and that is the reason why he had opted for a court marriage. Shaheer had also stated that he had always wanted a simple marriage. The actor was quoted as saying, "Ruchikaa and my family were not up for a simple one and that's why we are planning something in June. Because of the pandemic, we also got an opportunity to keep it low key and have it like an intimate affair."

Talking about Shaheer's family's reaction to his marriage, the actor had stated, "My family really wanted me to get married from a very long time. My mom was behind my life, so unhone kaha, "theek hai, tu kar raha hai na karle." Shaheer had also revealed the decision of announcing his wedding and had said, "It was out there and people had an idea about this. I am a person who doesn't like to put his personal life out there. I don't know how to put this across but I feel nazar lagti hai (laughs). So, just live your life, be happy and make sure whatever you put there should be inspiring and gives out a right message. So, whenever I feel there is a need to put it out there, I do that. I can be wrong but I am a person who is driven by his emotions, so whatever I feel I do."
In an interview with Pinkvilla, when Shaheer was asked when had he realised that Ruchikaa was the one for him, the actor had replied with the details of his love story. In his words, “So, we travelled together. Generally, you feel like you can go mad, you can have fun, only when your friends are there, not with your partner. You think of fun, you think of your friends. But, even if we go to a hospital for a regular check-up we are crazy together, we are crazy together. So I felt like this is the right combination, I can be myself and I can have fun.”
